Friday and we are looking at a 11-game slate starting at 7PM. Some big news already in from yesterday with Joel Embiid, and Donovan Mitchell already ruled out. This opens up some nice value and there are plenty of value and plays on this slate.

Player news: IF/THEN
- Donovan Mitchell is out tonight, and Darius Garland is listed as questionable. IF Garland is in then he becomes an excellent play. IF Garland is out then Raul Neto becomes an excellent value play at the guard position along with Cedi Osman. Caris LeVert is in play either way and I like Cedi Osman as a value play either way as well.

Changes to the article. Instead of giving core plays along with a write up for each I will list my core plays and give the logic behind them.
NBA Dashboard is also another good source to help build lineups.
The “Droppin Dimes,” article will go over my favorite plays for the slate. It will consist of three to five core plays along with some additional plays and some value plays. You will not always see the highest-priced players or the most obvious plays. The article will be the building blocks to help construct lineup/s.
NBA Dashboard is also another good source to help build lineups. Check it out here – DailyAmbush: NBA Dashboard
The Dashboard will provide projections, player ratings along with matchup and other statistics for both Ambush and me (under FB Model). The dashboard feeds the optimizer allowing users to create lineups using (Avg FPs, Ratings, FB Projections, FB Ratings, projected ownership and GPP score). This is a good tool to utilize, and it gives the user a lot of ways to mix it up.

LOGIC:
Point Guard: With the Lakers out a few guards tonight I am very interested in Dennis Schroder at his current price of $5200. He is playing massive minutes over the past two games an paying off his salary. An excellent matchup against the Hawks who rank 25th against opposing point guards and his uptick in minutes along with his recent play (averaging 37 FPs over last 3 games) make him an excellent option tonight.
Shooting Guard: At the shooting guard position Terry Rozier stuck out with his reduced price and the fact the Hornets are down two key players tonight. Rozier continues to play 35 plus minutes and take around 20 shots a game. The Hornet play against he Bucks tonight and I can see Jrue Holiday guarding LaMelo Ball and limiting him some giving way to Rozier having a big game. Also, the Bucks position to attack is with shooting guards as they rank 23rd.
Small Forward: De’Andre Hunter has been playing a ton of minutes as of late and producing as well. Double-digit shot attempts, double-digit points and solid rebounding over the last two games. This will be a fast-paced game where lots of points are scored along with a lot of other fantasy point opportunities. Hunter price is a bit low for the way he has been performing and this matchup.
Power Forward: The pressure is on, and LeBron James has been stepping up as of late playing 40 minutes and dropping over 40 real points in back-to-back games. One of those games was against the Hawks who the Lakers now play at home tonight where, he dropped 47/10/9 just missing a triple double. Good chance he gets overlooked in this excellent matchup as the Hawks are in the bottom 5 defensively against forwards. Fast paced game increases the upside.
Center: Once again I will be targeting the Hornets with the opposing center- Brook Lopez is man tonight. The Hornets rank dead last against centers, and I will continue to target them until they improve defensively. Lopez has been a rebounding machine as of late hitting double-digits in three straight games grabbing 19 in the last game. He should have no problem taking advantage of this situation tonight and hitting value with an upside of 45 plus. I also really like Jakob Poeltl tonight as he is underpriced coming in under 6K in an excellent matchup against the Pistons.

Fred VanVleet Tre Jones Jalen Brunson
|
James Harden
Victor Oladipo (V) Caris LeVert Seth Curry (V) Buddy Hield
|
Josh Richardson (V)
Saddiq Bey (V) – much better coming off the bench. Landry Shamet (V) Tobias Harris Deni Avdija (V) |
Cedi Osman (V)
John Collins Giannis Antetokounmpo – if not playing Lopez Naji Marshall (V) Wenyen Gabriel (V)
|
Montrezl Harrell (V)
Jakob Poeltl Nikola Vucevic– 2% own 7x upside. vs PJ Tucker or Trez…HAHA Rudy Gobert |
Dimes Play
Kenrich Williams- The Thunder will be without three of their big men tonight which would open up some minutes for Kenrich Williams. Williams has already been playing around 22 minutes a game over the past three and averaging about 1.2 FPPM in that timeframe. Give him a few more minutes tonight and he should easily pay off his salary plus.
