There are four games which stand out above the others on the totals this week and each has a reasonable chance to remain competitive throughout. Those four games are USC/California, Oklahoma/Kansas, Houston/Kansas State and West Virginia/UCF
But do not overlook the mid tier games, this is a very strong CFB DFS slate.
USC at CAL
Very simple way to approach this game. Either ignore it or you pay up for the obvious spots. USC can only play one way and that is fast, so Caleb Williams even at 10k is solid as USC will move the ball on the Cal defense. Caleb will get you his 30-40 point spot & I think he connects with Dorian Singer here today.
Cal is coming off a BYE week and the extra rest should help them out, they’ve gotta be smart and just ride the ground game against a weak and often tired USC defense.

West Virginia vs UCF
Here I am looking to recommend John Rhys Plumlee once more. He always is a pain in the ass, but I am more interested in going back to the WVU well after they choked in the second half defensively last week overshadowing a good game from Garrett Greene. The rushing attack should lean more on CJ Donaldson this week but either way, WVU is gonna put up points and zero defense.
- WV: Garrett Greene & Devin Carter OR CJ Donaldson
- UCF: John Rhys Plumlee, Javon Baker, RJ Harvey
There is almost no viable value here at Quarterback outside of going on a longshot journey with Graham Mertz, but even there, we’re better off just taking the Gators ML for value than trying to justify Mertz to outperform the studs today.
- CALEB WILLIAMS – USC – $10,500 … If you can pay up here, there’s no reason not too. Caleb will give you a 35 floor that most others wont sniff.
- JOHN RHYS PLUMLEE – UCF – $7200 … Ride or die with JRP as the best ‘value’ option today. Kinda sick to my stomach thinking about it, but here we are.
- GARRETT GREENE – WVU – $8100 … Same game as JRP, should be another solid week for Greene to deliver with his legs. I don’t like much at QB this week so I am fine going back here.
I would not consider anyone beyond those three. I had a temptation to look at Maalik Murphy (Texas) but just hand the ball off kid.
TOP PICKS
- Jayden Ott – California – $7700 … We have a home RB, who should get the bulk of the workload in the highest total game and he’s likely sub 10%. Take us to the promise land Jayden.
- DJ Giddens – Kansas State – $6500 … The Wildcats are going to run insane over the Cougars this week. It’s a split backfield and a lot will look at the workload that Ward has gotten and ride him, but gimme some of that DJ Giddens ceiling potential here to break off a few big plays both on the ground and definitely in the passing game.
- Jonathan Brooks – Texas – $7500 … Meanwhile, someone who WONT be low owned is J.Brooks. And with a QB change due to injury he’s likely to have a hard time not working out.
- Kaytron Allen – Penn State – $5900 … Allen and Singleton should both find the end-zone. Penn St. is in a classic get right bounce back spot after the tough Ohio State loss.
TIER 2 OPTIONS
- RJ Harvey – UCF – $6200 … College DFS is entirely an This or That, A or B game each week. Is it JRP or RJ Harvey who gets the rushing touchdowns. It’s that simple. The WVU defense has only allowed 8 rushing touchdowns all season somehow and they’ll go up by 2 this week for sure, I lean JRP getting 1 for sure.
- CJ Donaldson – WVU – $6100
- Audric Estime – ND – $7800
CORE PICKS
- Ricky Pearsall – Florida – $7100 … No doubting the talent, no doubting the volume, and no doubting the motivation to show up in the biggest game of the year for Florida. I like going contrarian up top at WR today as it’s deep so we can use it in the FLEX or even Super-Flex position but we don’t have a ton of must own chalk plays either.
- Jalil Farooq – Oklahoma – $6500 … Stoops could vulture one here, but we have to like the top weapon for Oklahoma against Kansas.
- Kobe Hudson – UCF – $5600
- Phillip Brooks – Kansas State – $6000 … Perfect price, great match-up.
Tier 2 Plays
- Dorian Singer – USC – $5900 … Little bit if a roulette wheel on the USC Wide Receivers. So proceed with caution and likely only correlate in a stack with Caleb.
- Keon Coleman – Florida State – $7000
- Xavier Worthy – Texas – $6800
VALUE
- Oscar Delp – Georgia – $3400 … I like the game for some offense and he is going to see enough volume at this cheap price to use him, especially in a correlation with Pearsall.
- Taj Davis – California – $4900
