Below I’ll break down the particular stacks I’m interested and delve into it based on matchup, ability, predicted game script, and collective salary while picking an opposing player or two to run that stack back with if appropriate.*Note: All pricing is DraftKings focused
Los Angeles Rams vs. Washington Commanders
QB Matthew Stafford, WR Cooper Kupp, WR Puka Nacua
There’s a lot of chalk here but it’s hard to look past this game and this matchup for the passing game more specifically. Matt Stafford has been rolling with three, three, and four touchdown passes in his last three games. The matchup through the air here for Kupp and Nacua couldn’t be better as the Commanders’ nonexistent pass rush has been leaving the guys in the secondary dead to rights. Washington is allowing the most yards through the air of any team in the league.
Run it Back: WR Terry McLaurin
Despite a zero last week, McLaurin is still the top receiver on Washington and has seen 11 and seven targets in the two weeks prior to last week. Sam Howell continues to throw the ball around a ton and that won’t be any different in Week 15.
Buffalo Bills vs. Dallas Cowboys
QB Josh Allen, RB James Cook
Josh Allen continues to be the real only hope for the Bills as they look to push into the playoffs and this should be a high-scoring affair. Allen is a threat through the air and on the ground which clearly makes him more valuable but also doesn’t necessarily make me stack him with a receiver, as they (Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis) both have been underwhelming of late and have tough matchups. James Cook has emerged over the past couple of weeks with 16 and 22 touches, but notably has been a factor in the pass game (5/83/1 last week, 6/57 two weeks ago). The Cowboys linebackers are a spot to attack and that’s what Cook will be able to do.
Run it Back: WR CeeDee Lamb
There ain’t much else to say about CeeDee Lamb at this point. The guy is a star, a true WR1 and should be treated as such. In a “down week” last week against the Eagles Lamb had 6/71/1 and now has 1296 receiving yards on the year with 96 catches and 8 touchdowns. Dak is gonna look to him because that’s how the offense has run all year. Some things are just…. Simple.
