NHL DFS: The Point Shot – Wednesday, January 10, 2024

Key Skaters

C Nathan Mackinnon (COL)

With a short slate looming it’s nearly impossible for me to overlook the highest priced talent on this slate in a potential back and forth high scoring game. With all of that, I look into Mackinnon and see that he comes in with points in 14 of his last 15 games with multiple points in nine of those contests. I’m not looking further than Mackinnon to start my lineups tonight, although the contrarian feel of Jack Eichel ($8,500) is interesting. Could we fit both? Worth thinking about.

W Tyler Seguin (DAL)

If we’re looking to pay up on a short slate such as Wednesday night’s, which we are, then we’ll have to find some value with solid potential and upside. Seguin fits the category here at $4,500 in a matchup against Minnesota. The Stars and Wild just recently faced off on Monday resulting in a 4-0 win for the Stars. In that game Seguin came through with a goal, assist, and three shots on goal. With that game, Seguin, who’s always been streaky has now found the net in four of his last five games and on three straight occasions with five goals total over that span. The floor for Seguin comes into play with his shot volume which has seen him produce three or more shots on goal in four of his last five contests.
