This is what we call a West Virginia slate. Wild and wonderful with 17 total MLB games today and for DraftKings they properly spread it out across 2 slates with a mini Turbo at 6PM as well.
The two extra games are Boston @ Cleveland and Baltimore at Detroit playing double headers and both are on the 1PM “Main” slate today as I consider the 7PM the night slate.
WEATHER
Toronto at New York: PPD

CASEY MIZE (DK: $7700)
Mize is now almost Mr. Automatic 20 at home. Getting a fair amount of grounders, which is key today with the wind blowing out — but it is to dead center, so expect some long outs when they do lift the ball.
HUNTER GREENE (DK: $8900)
The “is Greene the best pitcher in Baseball” crowd finally took one on the chin a week ago — and yes, it’s been a full week since he pitched. But this is the Rockies & in Coors the only concern is if they make contact, which with Greene should be limited today.
OTHER PITCHING THOUGHTS
- Robbie Ray and Tyler Mahle are both 3a and 3b. We know the drill with both, it can go south very quickly and this being a day game in San Francisco reduces the chances they are safe.
- I like both Gausman and Fried, but rain delay concerns have to be factored in.
- I want to trust Luzardo and Brown, but I cannot trust the baseballs in Wrigley just yet, although isn’t it funny how the Dodgers leave town and Colin Rea/Tiajuan Walker give us a 4-0 game?
- I fully expect Simeon Woods Richardson to bean someone on the Angels today. I recommend we nail Zach Neto as payback for Luke Keaschall and then we get Kikuchi nailing Buxton and thus you have the leagues worst ever looking brawl as the Angels and Twins pretend to fight. I could see Jo Adell and Harrison Bader going at it, but otherwise nobody on these teams is throwing real fists…

METS
Oh My. Brad Lord. Someone pour me up a double shot of Lindor, they know me and Pete Alonso got a history…. Sorry, I had to do it… Early morning showers will be gone and it will be warm & humid this afternoon. I trust the Nationals young kids to hit Holmes as well but the full stack is the Mets side. Really though none of that matters, this is the worst SP with a below AVG bullpen on the slate. Fire up the Mets and don’t forget to include your bottom of the order guys.
REDS
Elly, Friedl, Lux, Marte
While there’s definitely other SS options, I can’t see Elly not having a big game against Senzatella. 2 AB is enough for him to put up over 18 DK FPTS against him.
OTHER IDEAL HITTING SPOTS
- ATHLETICS: Love … whatever city we want to call them. Love love love them today. Are they better than the Mets and Reds? No. Is Wilson and Kurtz going to go off again? Yes.
- Boston Lefties. Cold in Cleveland, but same matchup we wanted last night.
- Twins RHH if you wanna bank on Kikuchi imploding.
