Whenever the weather gets HOT like it’s about too I always think of this hilarious skit… Enjoy it.
WEATHER
All games should play
MacKenzie Gore … (DK: $9800, FD: $9700) — It will take an act of God tonight to keep me from playing MacKenzie Gore in Dodger Stadium against the man he mirrors the most, Clayton Kershaw. Not even ICE can come in here and keep me from playing Gore. Add in that the Dodgers are off a Padres series which is usually a let down spot & his low ownership & I’ve got no problems going here.
Max Fried … (DK: $10k, FD: $10k) — What? Why is Fried 10k when Brown is 11.2k? Why? Baltimore? C’mon. Ramon Laureno, Westburg? Give me a break here fellas. Fried is an automatic 2x return with 3x potential if Baltimore is a little too hungover from Tampa.
Clayton Kershaw … (DK: $7200, FD: $8200) — One spot where the weather is not BBQ season is oddly enough SoCal in L.A. The Nationals are weaker vs LHP for power & when in trouble I trust Kershaw to get out of a jam. I’m definitely looking at a SP game stack on a 13 game slate as weird as that feels.
Hayden Birdsong … (DK: $8000, FD: $8300) — Two young guns going off in San Francisco. I prefer Kershaw, but think Birdsong vs Boston has to be a good SP2 choice in what should be a 4-2 type game at most. Difference here is Dobbins has to deal with Devers.
OTHER PITCHING THOUGHTS
- Hunter Brown … Fried instead.
- Zac Gallen … Yeah, so it’s 100 degrees in Coors…. End analysis.

Look, there’s gonna be offense in a lot of areas this weekend. Two games that didn’t get the mention here are Brewers/Twins and Tigers/Rays, which are nice one off spots too.
DIAMONDBACKS
Marte, Gurriel, Tawa, Herrera
Like a dude with purple hair coming into Home Depot, we all see it, we all see it. Cannot avoid the Diamondbacks tonight, but this doesn’t mean you need five of them, but when you play three of them, please make sure you have top of the order exposure here and bottom of the order too.
REDS
Really weird spot here. The Reds offense can be baffling at times, but this is one of those divisional warm weather games that finds a way to finish with a position player going. They pair well with Coors too because Lux (3100) and Steer (3000) all give you good plays that can plug in with the Diamondbacks.
YANKEES
Tomoyuki Sugano-chance he doesn’t give up a homer to Judge.
SNEAKY SPOT TONIGHT
- METS (Soto, Torrens) … Death, Taxes, Soto in Philly and the Mets catcher homering in the first game in Philly.
- ATHLETICS (Butler, Wilson, Kurtz) … The young boys are definitely in sync for the Athletics on their homestand with Wilson, Butler and Kurtz homering… Welcome in, Tanner pitch the ball and watch it go Bye-Bye-Bye, BYE-BYE….
