The NHL is gearing up for the Olympic break and thus getting everyone going tonight and most on Saturday as well before shutting it down late next week.

I love Stamkos tonight. He has dominated New Jersey for his career and comes in pretty good form with goals in 5 of his last 8. Jersey is nothing short of a hot mess against forwards and not generating enough offense on their end. They could get right here though in a sneaky early game. I like both sides, but really lean on the Nashville second line for extreme good value anchored by Stammer.

Just no reason to expect anything other than a high tempo game between these clubs. There’s probably a little more value in considering a SGP bet on this one than DFS stack with 30 teams in action and having to pay heavy prices here, but having exposure to Celebrini/Smith, and McDavid/Hyman makes a ton of sense. When you get a 6-8 goal expected game though there’s no reason not to throw a dart on some 2nd/3rd line and defense manoptions. Tyler Toffoli, Dmitry Orlov, Vasily Podkolzin stand out.

- Tage Thompson: The Kings lock down everything but centers. That’s a problem for them tonight.

- Jeremy Swayman (Bruins): The Bruins are on their third in four nights while the Flyers are on a back to back. It should setup as a game with some dead legs, but the bad defense on the Flyers of late is also an opportunistic spot for the home Bruins to get on them without Lindholm in the lineup. Expect Boston to play smart, keep it close and limit giving th is one away, setting up Swayman to get the win and face 25+ shots.
