In honor of our great country’s 250th birthday weekend I think we should bring back ridding our country of those who are not on board with giving us the great things that we enjoy so much.
I am specifically speaking about the person who put together the MLB Schedule. Don’t even get me started on tomorrows’ game times now. Let’s just focus on the fact that the Cubs are playing a home game today — a Friday — in July. Great. At 4PM??? Weak. But, fine, we’ll let that slide.
Having teams not playing tonight because of the World Cup? Pathetic. MLB couldn’t just have those teams in other cities right now? What are the people who have centered their whole life around watching the …. *checks notes* Phillies and Royals … supposed to do on this Friday evening?
On second thought.
Thank you to whomever had those teams not playing tonight. Could you maybe have the Royals not play at all the rest of the season?
WEATHER
As always chance of Thunderstorms but should get all games in tonight.

Two main guys up top for me tonight, with a batch of options in the ‘Other’ section who are probably good as well. I just favor these two significantly more.
REID DETMERS (DK: $8300)
Boston’s still kinda heavy on the lefty splits IMO and thus isn’t in the best spot to beat up Detmers.
DYLAN CEASE (DK: $10,200)
The strikeouts will be there and the park also helps him avoid blow ups hopefully. Gotta trust picking on the Mariners at home more than rolling with Ohtani against the Padres as bad as they can be at times too.
OTHER PITCHING THOUGHTS
- Logan Webb stopped walking guys in June and now he has turned it around. Shocking how that correlates well for someone that has to get by on going deep into games because he’s rarely going to just overpower hitters. In Coors, if you walk guys, you are dead, but with how Webb has been good in the zone lately I trust him to keep it up. That said, the price is too high for someone who has to go long in an environment where going long is hard.
- I trust Nick Martinez a good amount tonight, but the upside with him is always limited.
- Jake Bennett is also in this ‘other’ tier as grading out well.

ORIOLES
A trip to Cincinnati should help out some struggling Orioles bats. The insane humidity and temps here in the small park and a bad Reds backend bullpen could set this up for a multi-homer game for a couple birds.
- Pete Alonso
- Gunnar Henderson
- Samuel Basallo
YANKEES
If the Yanks cannot get to Paredes then I think they’re gonna have to switch to some new coffee in the clubhouse. The one who should really benefit here is Bellinger (or Rice), as the velocity from Paredes is not great & the lefties can turn and pull some homers.
- Cody Bellinger
- Ben Rice
MARLINS
Miami’s carrying their June hot streak into July with these nice park trips from Coors and now out to Sacramento.
- Griffin Conine
- Liam Hicks
- Kyle Stowers
SLEEPER TEAM
BLUE JAYS
They usually get a favorable crowd when in Seattle and tend to find a way to hit well there. The Mariners also are trotting out Luis Castillo on a Friday — not his best day historically for those who know. So do yourself a favor and get some profit on either a second Jays lineup, some Jays bets, or just take the 1st 3 innings over.
