NFL Notes – Week 2

• Browns win, get back to basics.
• Chubb has a gigantic game.  Chubb is a gigantic lock.
• Dom has a Chubb for Chubb
• Cleveland running attack, next game Cleveland plays they will be airing it out – this game gets them back to level ground and they will take off.
• Joe Burrow plays decent – TD throw to Tyler Boyd
• Dom says he was forcing the ball to AJ Green last game
• 24-13 final – Browns….

• Browns play better.  Too early in the season though for this to be the shootout which it should be.
• I overestimated the Browns defense though, they’ll get sacks and turnovers but they aren’t great.
• AJ Green game.  Major AJ Green game.
• Gotta like Chubb on Cleveland’s side.  Could see Hunt catching a screen TD.
• Baker only accounts for 1 TD (Hunt) but he plays pretty good.
• Browns win because they dominate the ground late, but Bengals show they’re in the game.
• 23-17 Cleveland wins.

• Giants win, but not a barn burner in any way shape or form
• Evan Engram scores, 80 yards – 6 catches.
• Gonna look right past this game this week.  20-13 and Giants win.
• Pick’Em pool go Bears and go, and Giants win.
• Danny Dimes shows that he is really good but it’s not an explosion game.
• Barkley 90-95 yards rushing, a score, 2 catches for 15 yards.  Not worth the pay.
• Allen Robinson could have a high catch game, but he is not scoring.
• Mitch falls behind, leans on Robinson and end of game, 9-90 Robinson looks good.  Dont see him scoring.

• Allen Robinson a top recommendation this week, he’s gotta be this weeks plug it in and go WR
• Evan Engram for the Giants makes sense.  80 yards.
• Don’t think this is a shootout game so both those guys aren’t putting up 30 points but for their price it’s almost a no brainer.
• Really like Saquan too, just the volume alone should be great.   120 total yards, touchdown, few catches.  He’s a perfect baseline player.

Falcons at Cowboys (Unspecified number of fans) … OU: 50

• Holy shit balls.
  • — I dont like that Dom is taking forever to come up with a thought on this game —
• Dallas defense scores.  They have a pick 6.
• Final score:  Dallas wins 35-14
  • — Dom is struggling with clarity.  I can tell.  This is a fade for variance —
• Atlanta’s two scores will be Todd Gurley screen pass and force feed Julio Jones to stay in the game and he gets the other score.  Julio could be somebody on the radar, not an Adams game, but 8-100-1 is very possible.
• On the other side, playing Dak naked could be a benefit because everyone is going to get involved.
• Could see scenario where all 3 WR score
• Elliott has a high usage game, racks up the yards, not sure he gets in the box.  150 yards total, 120 rushing, 30 receiving.
• Dak throws 3 and runs 1 in.
  • Probably would take Barkley to be contrarian over Zeke?
• Gallup 60 and a score, Cooper 80 and a score, Lamb 40 and a score.  Rak runs one in.

• Gotta like Zeke.
• This is all about touchdown variance with Zeke, because I see Dallas scoring 4 touchdowns and it’s a question of does Dak take one or two away from Zeke or not.
• Don’t like anything on Atlanta side of the ball, lots of 3 and outs.  O-Line won’t do shit, could be a high catch game for Russell Gage and everyone starts to wonder if he is a top WR in fantasy.
• Julio is Julio.  Does nothing and finishes with 8 for 90.
• But Dallas is big side.  Gotta have Dallas skill players.  I do not sense this being a Cooper game, I could see Gallup scoring, but I just don’t have a guess on Dallas WR so leave it with Zeke, pray he gets 2nd TD.
• OH!  EUREKA!  McCarthy is going to pound Zeke into the ground and hit a play action bomb down field to Gallup.   Dallas wins by double digits.

Lions at Packers … OU 46

• Lions win this game wire to wire.
• Stafford has 3 or 4 touchdowns.  Marvin Jones is the WR of the day.

• Marvin Jones Jr.
• If Kenny G plays he will also score, but he’s not the WR you have to own.
• Cant run on Packers like in years past, Minnesota didn’t do it.
• Rodgers 240 – 2 – 2….. Kumrow and Stenberger touchdowns for Rodgers.
• Stafford 3 maybe 4….  Very contrarian
• 34-21 Lions.  Or 31-20.   Patricia is pissed.  If he is going to lose and get fired it’s off the arm of Stafford…

• Doesn’t feel appropriate for me to say anything about this game, 100% going with Dom’s notes, this is all him.
• If he doesn’t predict a 42-28 Lions win then I’ll be disappointed.

Jaguars at Titans

• Dom likes the Jacksonville side of this game
• It’s ugly.  17-13 Jacksonville win.  Don’t like Derrick Henry
• this game will be eliminated from perview.
• I’m good.
• Dom thinks Jacksonville and Minshew shock people again and WTF they are 2-0 in their own division already.
• AJ Brown volume pick.

• Titans run buck wild all over them.
• But not just D-Henry.  This could be the week that Henry/Barkley/Zeke all look amazing and none of them break the slate.
• Titans defense scores.
• This is the Minshew disaster game.  Lock in Titans D, but Minshew does hit Chark for a big TD.
• 26-10 Titans.

Vikings at Colts (Up to 2500 fans) … OU: 47

• Without a shadow of a fucking doubt, TY Hilton catches a 70 yard bomb.
• If he catches a 65 yarder I can yell at Dom for being wrong.
• TY is catching a bomb.  Early in the game, 4 minutes left in 1Q.
• Otherwise it’s a Dalvin Cook game.
• Bomb to TY serves Colts well, Minnesota wins a close game late.
• Dalvin 120 & 2 TD.  He might be the lead back.
• Two turf players on turf.

• This is not the game you want to invest in for DFS
• Both teams under-performed defensively in week one.  Drastically.
• Both teams are veteran teams, with good coaches — they will respond this week.
• Not going to try and force anything.
• Cousins and Rivers are both bad sneaky plays.
• Don’t take the bait.
• Move on and consider the Colts D.

Bills at Dolphins (Up to 13,000 fans)

• Dom thinks Dolphins win
• It’s a game you are crossing off.
• Not sure how he does it, but DaVante Parker has a decent game.  Not going to play him.
• Dom is really digging WR this week.
• Miami wins just dont know how.
• 19-16
• cross it of.

• Miami is not winning until Tua starts, but damn this is the perfect game for them to win.
• If Miami is getting 6 or more points take it.
• Kinda like Buffalo ground game.  Why in the world did Josh Allen throw the ball 45 times vs the Jets?  He won’t have to do that here, should be Singletary/Moss game.  If priced appropriately you could consider them depending upon RB depth this week.
• Gisecki?  Feels like he doesn’t break out until Tua starts.
• Not in love with this game.  Miami is Cleveland from two years ago, people wanting them to be good before they are.

49ers at Jets … 49ers first of two east coast games …. OU: 43.5

• Can I get a pass?
• 49ers win this game undoubtedly and win easily.
• Take 49ers D and move on.
• Dont love road D, but don’t see how they dont come out angry, but offensively who do you want on San Francisco?  No Deebo.  Dont like anyone…. no clue who.
• WR definitely scores.  Not Moestert.  Not Tevin Coleman.
• Maybe Jerrick McKinnon screen TD?
• SF WR … dunno who.  And DST, DST, DST…
• Nothing on Jets.

• I see points…   Is Kittle hurt?
• I will admit this is not the type of game that normally is my strength to predict, but Jimmy G throwing the football for 300 yards and 3 scores this week if Shanny lets him.
• Give me a Kendrick Bourne touchdown
• Give me a Jordan Reed touchdown
• And I am really not sure how the Jets score, so that’s where the game dies.
• 49ers romp early, then fizzle out.
• No clue how the Jets do anything.

Rams at Eagles … Rams first of two east coast games   OU: 49

• Cooper Kupp has a good catching game and he probably scores
• 80 to 90 yards and a score.  Should definitely be on radar.
• Assuming Slay will shadow Woods.
• Rams win game 23-20
• But they won week 1…..
• Low scoring game, Philly is in physical disarray from a health perspective.
• Mentally they will get their shit together.
• Physically they are hurting
• Lane Johnson and Miles Sanders sat out — looking past Redskins.
• Philly typically runs well but if Sanders is not playing don’t know how that happens.
• DJax scores, no doubt about it.  Ramsey wont guard Jackson.   But not warrant using.
• 23-20 final, going either way.  Dont see Rams going 2-0.

• Eagles defense scores and sacks Goff 4+ times.  They’re definitely in play.
• Love Miles Sanders, but expect they will still take it easy on him.  This is a fantastic Miles Sanders spot though.  If you take Sanders/Scott/Clement and combine their stats it would be an amazing DFS player this week.
• That’s the entire game.  Eagles win.  Eagles take the air out of the game and run it a ton.
• Teams playing 2 cross country games in a row likely play better in first game this year, but this is more about the Eagles playing and being better than the Rams.  So I don’t think Rams play horrible, just not enough to do anything.  Robert Woods could have a huge PPR game assuming Slay is on Kupp.
• VAN JEFFERSON SCORES.
• Entertaining, but fast game.  23-20 Eagles.  Jake wins it.

Broncos at Steelers

• I would say cross it off again
• Could see James Conner getting 80 yards and a score.
• Defense for Steelers is too fast for Drew Lock
• Jeudy – fuck no.  Fant – fuck no, would have to be all Sutton and … no.
• cross it the fuck off.
• If you hear James Conner is a go could be very nice play.

• I have to cross it off.   Both teams coming off MNF games.

Panthers at Bucs

• Bucs control the game and get back to basics.  Don’t want to them to win but they will
• RoJo, RoJo, RoJo, little fucker.  If Miles Sanders is 100% go, not sure I would put Jones ahead of them.  Also depends on how much he costs.
• Ronald Jones will definitely score, question if he has big game or not
• Chris Godwin will have high catch game.  Will look at surface tablet he carries in his ass and realize he missed Godwin a ton.
• High catch game for CMC, be careful on DK when he has 9 for 90 and he runs one in and you’ll look back and say fucking eh.  9 catch game for CMC minimum.  Could be a 13 catch game.
• DJ Moore 7-80-1
• 27 to 20 – Buccaneers.

• OK, Scotty Miller is for real.  No doubt he is Brady’s guy and he is going to be the one who limits Godwin and Evans.  Evans is the red zone target for Brady.  Miller is the move the chains guy for Brady.  So Miller has a great volume catch game and Gronk likely, no, Gronk definitely has 4 or 5 catches and possibly a score.
• But throw all of that out the window.
• Bruce Arians and Byron Leftwich love Ronald Jones.
• Will they show him the love and remind him he is their guy over Fournette/McCoy/whatever and let him rush for 150 and 3 touchdowns?  Or do they fuck around and just balance things out.
• That’s it.  That’s your analysis.
• CMC aint doing shit, just like he didn’t do shit against Tampa last year.
• Teddy has nobody to throw to in this game.  Tampa D dominates ‘lina.
• So its entirely RoJo/Fournette decision time and to me Fournette is never in play due to lack of volume and RoJo is better.
• This is a tough week to trust a 2nd RB so far.

4PM GAMES (3 GAMES)

Washington at Cardinals … OU: 45.5

• Well cross it off then
• Dont like anything about the Cardinals in this game.
• Drake, Hopkins, Murray … nothing
• Redskins go 2-0
• Redskins go 2-0, problem is Dwayne Haskins fucking sucks.  He is so bad…
• Ah.  Mr. McLauren has a good catch game, will be starting him in seasonal leagues
• McLauren moves the chains and Bryce Love scores his first career TD
• Does Antonio Gibson show up?

• In the history of the Washington franchise they’ve never played well in Arizona.
• Cardinals win, but Washington shows that they will be more consistent this year and their defense plays well outside of big plays.  This game goes over because there’s a bunch of 40+ yard touchdowns, but there’s also a ton of 3 and outs in it.
• Entire world is going to be on Hopkins.  I like Fitzgerald to score…. Which contradicts the 40+ yard touchdown thought obviously.  But certainly gotta respect Hopkins who probably isn’t priced high enough.
• I like Arizona to win but doesn’t have the oompf to it, although a ‘Zona WR has a good game.

Chiefs at Chargers (SoFI Stadium) … OU: 51.5

• People are going to start their lineups with Tyrod Taylor?
• Dom likes Kelce in this game.   Kelce scores twice.
• Can see Tyreek catching one, 45 yards across the field, otherwise respect Casey Heyward a lot.
• Sammy Watkins aint doin dick this game.
• Mahomes 310 and 3 touchdowns.
• How do you not like Austin Ekeler to catch a shit ton of passes.
• Not Mike Williams, OH FUCK….
• Keenan Allen scores.  Tyrod Taylor is going to have 2 touchdowns.  220, 2 touchdowns, rush for 30?  Is he on radar?
• Love Kelce (Steve likes this)….

• Oh, well hello.   So the Chargers are supposed to win this game.  Which would mean one of two things.  Either their defense plays really well, or Austin Ekeler has a huge game.
• For the Chiefs — Hello Tyreeeeeeeeeeek Hill.
• I get Mahomes is always in play, likely too expensive though.  Tyrod game could be this week, no clue why Dom touched him last week but he could be alright here — I won’t use him though.
• Austin Ekeler is big decision.
• Ekeler and Tyreek.

Ravens at Texans

• Dont think it reaches the total (which is huge) … 54.5
• Defenses both play better on both sides of the ball
• Nick Boyle gets a touchdown — what the fuck?!??!!?
• Dom likes a huge running game for the Ravens.
• Ingram 100 yards rushing and a score
• Lamar 100 yards rushing and a score
• Love Lamar’s legs in this game don’t think the game goes over at all.
• Watson realizes he is alone in this game.
• Fuller does nothing, Cooks scores but makes a big mistake.  David Johnson isnt doing anything
• Don’t see how Houston’s offense keeps up.
• Ground and pound – Mark Ingram.  Love Lamar’s legs.

• It’s a trap.
• I want this to be a great back and forth Lamar-Watson game, but it’s a trap.
• Empty stadium + Texans not having Nuk which is guy to attack Baltimore with.
• Hollywood Brown could be a deep threat but I just don’t see this game doing it.
• I really like Houston though.
• Nobody will be on Houston because they got thumped by the Ravens last year.
• But Houston wins, that’s my initial gut feeling — brain says its a trap.
• No doubt about it.  Houston wins.

SNF / MNF PRIMETIME

Patriots at Seahawks

• Well, Cam is going to do it again.  Cam continues the MVP hype train.  Cam might be your SNF-MNF Quarterback (except those contests dont really exist anymore)…
• I like the over.

Saints at Raiders

• Vegas probably wins this game. I have a feeling they’ll have some home magic much like the Golden Knights had in their first season even without fans.
• Gruden vs Payton is a thing. They are best friends and Gruden is obsessed with Payton and no doubt has had this game circled since he came back into the league. When they were both in the NFC South it was fairly even.
• This is a Hunter Renfroe game. ‘Shon wont hang with him if he gets on him because ‘Shon cant cover white dudes, and if Renfroe is in the slot he’ll score on Chauncey in the red zone because the Saints slide Chauncey down into the box in that situation and rely on Williams or Jenkins to pick up the slot guy and Renfroe will get lose and score given that he’s Carr’s Red Zone guy. I think he could score twice.
• Saints haven’t allowed a 100 yard rusher in something like 47 games, no joke. Strong chance that could break here and the Raiders will have to have Jacobs busting a big one for that to happen.
• So for the Raiders its all Jacobs and Renfroe.
• Gotta like Manny Sanders and that was even before Thomas ruled out. Only reason to fade is ownership on showdown.
• Taysom in a MNF game obviously, but his 3 TD prime time game is next week against Green Bay since thats the team the Saints stole him from and they’ll want to shove it up Rodgers puckered asshole in front of a national audience.
• But this is all about Sean Payton getting the former Raiders in the box.
  Lat Murray and Jared Cook. More Lat Murray than anything else. Lat is going over 100 total yards from scrimmage and will bust a screen for a 27 yard touchdown left to right across your TV screen with 8:27 left in the 2nd quarter
• Saints might need Deonte Harris to return a kick to win this game, so he would correlate with Saints D/ST in a unique stack in the FLEX positions.
• Captains: Renfroe, Murray
• FLEX: Jacobs, Taysom, Manny, Harris/Saints, Cook, Brees, Whoever the fuck the Raidres kicker is and Will MNF Lutz.
