NFL Notes – Week 3

• Is Tua ready?  Is this the game Fitzpatrick gets “hurt” and Tua comes in during the 2nd quarter to lead the Dolphins to 45 points?  Their offense kind of looks ready minus having that dynamic running back.  Could you imagine them getting Hubbard or even better Etienne?
• Davante Parker a must play for showdown, I’ll have him on MNF-TNF.  He gets forced the ball and eats up the rookie CB for Jags who is getting a ton of praise.
• I do like points just not sure how it happens.  Dolphins defense scores but Minshew winds up with over 300 yards and 2 or 3 touchdowns again.  Curious if his TD prop is sneaky high this week.
• Minshew is the new Winston in fantasy & Jacksonville is the new Tampa
• Sticking with my gut of Miami doesn’t win until Tua see’s the field.
• Jags 26 – Dolphins 24, so I guess I like the over?  Ew.

• Thinking the Bears side
• Tarik Cohen catches a screen pass for a touchdown, no doubt about it.
• Don’t like a lot in this game.  Either Julio or Ridley score – neither is a must own.
• But if it’s Ridley … Atlanta lost but Ridley had 6-70-1 again, do we need to consider him a star receiver in the league?
• David Montgomery accumulates yards, but does not get in the box.
• Not sure how else the Bears are going to score to win.
• Dom wants to cross this game off.  But if Cohen is 4300 or less on DK, could be FLEX.

• Allen Robinson the 1st, Allen Robinson the 2nd and Allen Robinson the III
• Tarik Cohen has to be considered as a third RB on DraftKings.  Has to be.
• Jimmy Graham makes sense, except he sucks.
• So how does one not consider Mitch Trubisky?  Besides the fact that I like Atlanta to win with their defense??????
• This game really has me torn.  Brain says Trubisky-Cohen-Robinson-Graham should all eat, but Robinson might be the only one I wind up using because thats too many Bears to really go off.
• Atlanta can’t run the ball on Chicago in my mind (no big power back), so it’s gotta be a gimpy Julio?
• Atlanta defense could steal this game.  This might be the under.
• If this is the week 4PM games shine, this might be your fade & pray
• But how does Allen Robinson not have a monster game?

• Tempered approach
• High usage game for Joe Mixon even against Philly.  Gets 80 yards rushing, 30 or 40 receiving
• He is heavily used and you wont be upset with him.  Dont think he scores though.
• Logical approach is Philly get right game
• Jalen Reager not DeSean Jackson gets in the box.  DJax best games are long behind him.
• Jalen has 3 for 110 and a touchdown
• But not a jump in on all the Eagles offense day.
• Game Covers the under.   24-13 or some shit.

• AJ Green scores a touchdown and in a shootout AJ Green winds up over 100 yards, but even though he’s getting extra rest, he won’t lead the Bengals in receiving yards.
• Nor will Tyler Boyd.
• Tee Higgins comes out of nowhere to burst onto the scene.  Great, its WR week…
• Tee Higgins, 3 catches 85 yards and he scores
• Eagles do win.  Sanders and Scott both score.  Wentz RUSHES one in, throws 2 short yardage touchdowns.  The running game helps stabilize the Eagles offense.  Wentz has a solid day if he rushes that touchdown in – otherwise it’s just ‘ok’.
• 27-24 Eagles win.

• Dom likes fireworks in this game
• Ben Roethlisberger will be under consideration.  JJSS 120 and a touchdown
• Will Fuller catches a 60 yard bomb, there are fireworks in this game.
• Big Ben is under consideration No Doubt.
• Big Ben throws 3 touchdowns.  JJSS, short to Washington, Vance McDonald
• Will Fuller has a big day too on the other side.
• Pittsburgh wins, Watson plays well.

• DeShaun Watson opting out in 3 ….. 2….. 1….
• Other than David Johnson catching a bunch of balls, what in the world is there to consider for Houston?  Unless we sense this is go opposite upset week, Houston is going 0-3.
• Ugh… Ju-Ju scores.  finishes under 100 yards though because the game just dies.
• Gotta remember JuJu on the road, Johnson at home.
• 23-7 Pittsburgh.

• Cross this off because its a Sony Michel game and nobody has balls to play him.
• 80 and a score for Michel
• NEW ENGLAND DEF is in play.  They score….
• Ground and pound game for Patriots
• Sony Michel 80/1 and New England Defense scores no doubt about it.
• If Oakland has any shot, they will need to connect a long one to Ruggs
• Changing of the guard between Edelman and Renfrow … Renfrow is only way Oakland stays in the game.
• NE controls the game.  Ground and pound.

• I want to say Raiders win to get to 3-0 and that the Patriots offense looks one dimensional (with no passing game).
• But this is a logical spot for the Patriots to just win 23-16.
• Pats defense will be okay, not great.
• Jacobs will be okay, not great.
• Patriots dont have the passing attack for this to turn into a DFS game and you cannot trust Sony Michel to get enough carries — but logically he makes sense.
• Wait.  Gruden revenge game?  Tuck rule?
• I’ll bet the Raiders and fade in DFS.

• Zack Moss scores, no doubt about it.
• Robert Woods revenge game?  This would be a high volume game if he had stayed in the east.
• Cole Beasley … 18 YARD touchdown!
• Can see Zack Moss scoring twice
• Woods on the other side, over and over and over.  High catch game.
• 11 catch game for Woods!?

• This game is over before 3PM
• No Diggs, No Brown, probably Cole Beasley yes because why the fuck not on WR week.
• But I see both teams coming out and trying to run the ball all game.  Zack Moss could be a nice contrarian RB this week since there’s ZERO RB to consider so far.  They’re using him enough to warrant considering in fantasy.  Home team?  Maybe favored?
• I like Buffalo to win.  20-10.
• is….  Goff better than I think?

49ers at Giants | OU: 41

• Is Kittle playing?
• Get in and out of this game.  This game might be 80 minutes long.
• Cross it off game, but feeling on two things
• If Tevin Coleman is playing he might be in play, otherwise really like Jerrick McKinnon
• 20 touch day for Jerrick McKinnon
• Dont look a gift horse value in the mouth
• WR on the Giants side, something to Dimes & Engram, gotta watch that.
• It’s not Slayton, not sure it’s Shepherd.   Could be Tate?
• Throw in the towel with Danny Dimes season.

• And we found a chalky running back.  Moestert.  McKinnon?  Roger Craig?  Garrison Hearst???
• I like the Giants.  No.  Nevermind, I don’t.
• Kendrick Bourne probably scores this week.
• 49ers get in and get the fuck out.
• Not worth getting cute here.

Titans at Vikings | OU: 47

• Right back to the well with Derrick Henry here, but something tells Dom 120 and a touchdown for Henry.  May not need him because optimal RB is cheap RB and expensive WR
• Looking for a safe cash floor, he’s going to run right through them, on turf?
• If Jonathan Taylor did what he did then Henry is going to tear them a new one.
• Adam Theilen is going to have a high catch game, a little bit of desperation out of Minnesota
• Thielen has 8 catches minimum.  He should be a lock for DK.
• Like Theilen for 8 minimum.
• Derrick Henry has 120 and a score, not shocked if he scores twice.

• I want to say Cousins and the Vikings offense (passing game) finally has a good game
• Henry should break through for a big physical run which gets him over 100 yards, question is does he get into the end zone or not.  If the Vikings rush defense was that bad then Jonathan Taylor should have had 3 TD last week.  They will over commit and get TORCHED on a play action bomb by Tannehill.
• Is AJ Brown playing?  I feel this is a cross it off game but I am not sure the status of A.J. Brown as of right now.  If he is in then I love Brown and Theilen correlation.
• If not Cook and Henry are volume based plays obviously but not must owns.
• A healthy AJ Brown would eat.

Washington at Cleveland | OU: 44

• Logan Thomas random TE touchdown, might not get 20 yards receiving but he will score.
• Another not Odell outside WR has a big game.
• Maybe it’s Landry?  Lean Landry on the Cleveland side
• Otherwise write this game off.
• If JM mentions Landry then that could sway Dom.

• Hey guess what, another Wide Receiver.  Scary Terry.  But it’s all in garbage time.
• Cleveland runs out early on them, then Washington storms back late.
• There’s nothing we want in this game.
• There will never be a Washington DFS stack game

• Dom assumes Tyrod is QB
• Chargers do it a little bit through the air – Mike Williams scores (Tyrod likes him)
• Hunter Henry also gets in the box, not a big game, gets in the box.
• Not an Ekeler game
• Joshua Kelly runs out the clock
• Dont see how Carolina scores.
• What his face??  Curtis Samuel scores.
• Ohio State players.  Ten yard touchdown.  60 yard receiving, not enough warrant using him at all though.  That’s it, not a DJ Moore game.  No beat on Robbie Anderson.

• NOT, Austin Ekeler.
• Although it wouldn’t completely shock me if they both top 100 yards rushing.
• This is an easy spot to get Josh Kelly the ball and get him touchdowns.  Chargers will score 3 rushing touchdowns at minimum.  In the first half.
• Chargers are going to MURDER Carolina.   250+ yards rushing for The Clippers.
• Panthers will eventually figure life without CMC out but not in week one.
• Panthers won’t possess the ball more than 17 minutes all game.
• But if you dont have Ekeler or Kelly you are dead and I like Kelly.  Maybe both.
• Ian Thomas catches an 12 yarder, breaks a tackle and scores an 18 yard touchdown to make it 38-7 and the Chargers are like yeah whatever and some asshole who bet the under breaks his TV.
• Two things about this week.  #1 – Wide Receivers.  #2 – Rookies start to show adjustments to NFL and start to shine before hitting a brick wall in late October.

Jets at Colts | OU: 43.5

• Blech… Where is this happening?
• HELLO SGT JACK DOYLE!  Who is injured?
• If SGT JACK DOYLE PLAYS, he SCORES.
• Rivers could have 2 scores, 1 to Hilton, 1 to Doyle/TE

• Before you immediately plug in the Colts defense….  Random Steve theory.  Colts late 4PM home games are really good games normally.  It’s the 1PM home games with the roof open which go under.
• Is Crowder playing?
• Seriously, who is on the Jets?
• Oh, TY Hilton scores.
• Jonathan Taylor chalky play.  Might be the safe RB of the week.
• Jets stay bad.  Colts defense chalky, just does okay.

• Dom thinks Steve wont like his take (he is wrong)
• Game disappoints, taking the under, two must starts here.
• Chris Carson has a day on the ground.  They control the game on the ground and keep Dallas offense off the field.  Totally see them doing that at home.
• All the hype off Dallas comeback/Seattle 5 TD and this game leads to the under.
• Not seeing the fireworks in this game.
• But no doubt about it Michael Gallup scores 1 or 2 times, maybe 140 yards receiving.
• Gallup dominates, no doubt about it.  Gallup into the endzone.
• Only thing keeping D in this game.

• And after all those WR’s I mentioned.  Here’s the #1 WR of the week.
• Tyler Lockett.  All the catches, all the touchdowns.  All the Tyler Lockett.
• Dak naked for Dallas again?
• I honestly might go Dak-Zeke to start things off again.
• The reason for Dak is he should get a lot of rushing yards.  But his DFS price likely warrants not using him.  I’m not in love with much for the Dallas WR, so that likely talks me off Dak.
• Wilson always feels automatic yes and if you love Lockett, he wont burn you.
• Question of the game ….
• Does McCarthy realize he needs to help his defense out and run the ball 40 times?  Does he?

• Oh boy, I like this game.  Was gonna say 48/49.  Not shocked if 52…
• All over Matt Stafford….  TJ HOCKENSONNN.
• Hockenson 100 yards receiving, all over Stafford.  Just soiled pants.
• Love Stafford.  Love Detroit to crush them.
• It’s not Christian Kirk!
• Spot on, another high reception game for Nuk.
• Stafford and if Galladay plays he definitely scores.  Fourth receiver definitely scores and can see him getting a 4th in this game.
• Stafford + Hockenson + Gallup.
• Not sure Hopkins gets in the box, him or Fitz.
• Fitz definitely scores.
• Going to have to figure out the comeback on the Arizona Side.
• Arizona WR feels like Dallas last week.  Everything just kind of there.

• I love this game
• Oh baby Kenny G stay healthy.
• How are the Lions going to slow down the Cardinals offense?
• Christian Kirk sighting.  Nuk better be $8000 or more.
• This is a classic game where the whole world wants the Cardinals stack but ignores the cheaper Lions stack and I do believe that music you hear is T.J. HOCKENSON’s walk up song.
• Shootout in the desert.
• Cards defense has looked good but is playing above their heads.
• I think I am definitely punting my lineup to 4PM and stacking this over the Cowboys game.

Bucs at Broncos | OU: 43

• Gronk scores.
• Chris Godwin, 8 catches, 101 yards and that’s it.
• Scotty Miller, 12 yard touchdown over the Miller
• Brady gets a couple TD then.
• OJ Howard catches a long one in between the 20’s.  Doesn’t mean shit
• Denver side of the ball … ho-lee-shit.  How do you not like Tampa Defense?

• No sutton, Hamler still green, no TE vs Tampa, cant run on Tampa.

• Angry Sean Payton game.  Packers spurned him of the job in 2006.  His team just played like shit in a game they started off properly in.
• Taysom Hill revenge game.
• You’re going to get full Taysom Hill experience this week.
• Taysom catching a touchdown (probably from Kamara)
• Taysom rushing for a touchdown
• Taysom throwing a touchdown
• All the Taysom Hill captain spots.
• Packers offense?  Nothing.   Absolutely.  Nothing.
• Lattimore can lock down a gimpy Adams.  He profiles well against Adams type WR.
• Janoris Jenkins can hang with Lazard without problem.
• Chauncey will dismantle MVS
• Packers have no TE
• Aaron Jones on the road two weeks in row against this rushing D?
• Davenport likely back.
• Green Bay won’t score a touchdown, which benefits the Taysom play even more.
• 31-3 Saints.  Taysom 3 touchdowns.
