NFL Week 3 – SNF Showdown

Sorry for getting this out late, tied up but this is an easy game for me to break down.  I have had this circled as a tough spot for the Saints for months now and still think it will be a close and low scoring game.

GAME WINNER BET

SAINTS

This is a very good match-up on both sides of the ball for New Orleans and coming off a very poor showing on Monday night they’re prime to cover easily.

GAME CAPTAIN

Sean Payton's 'new toy': A 'Thor-terback' named Taysom Hill - New Orleans Saints Blog- ESPNTaysom Hill – QB – Saints

Taysom has long been my darling as many know and he’s been a showdown favorite for many in DFS lately — even though they’re all late to the show.  Nowhere was I pushing him last Monday night because this is a far better Taysom game.  For starters, he gets the narrative Touchdown lock against the team who the Saints scooped him from back in 2017.  Secondly, the Packers can be run on and playing at home the Saints are going to need some juice to get them amped up without the home crowd.  Taysom is that juice.  Expect him to get the first play of the game and be used often.

PRIMARY PLAYER POOL

Packers

I do not expect Davante Adams to play despite reports that he is hoping he can.  Honestly, he gets shutdown by Lattimore even if he does play.   Green Bay to me doesn’t have much offensive fire power in this game, but you’ll want Rodgers because he should accumulate most of their points.  The best chance for them to stay in the game is passing through their RB to Jones and Williams.

  • Highest Owned:  Aaron Rodgers
  • Secondary Plays:  Allen Lazard, Aaron Jones, Jammal Williams
  • Correlation:  Aaron Rodgers & both RB
  • Value Plays:  Jamaal Williams

Saints

  • Highest Owned:  Taysom Hill
  • Secondary Plays:   Alvin Kamara, Latavius Murray, Saints Defense
  • Correlation:   Taysom Hill & Saints Defense
  • Value Plays:  Taysom Hill, Will Lutz, Saints Defense, Deonte Harris

Final Score prediction:  Saints 30, Packers 10, Taysom scores three touchdowns.
