Shane Bieber
He’ll be pitching with the motivation of looking for the Cy Young award to get secured against Giolito tonight. The White Sox are really in a funk overall on offense and could be going into a 12 strikeout spot tonight if they are not careful.
Zack Greinke
Greinke can throw plenty of pitches tonight because he doesn’t strain himself and they’ll have enough time between this start and the playoffs to roll him out in game one. Keep picking on Seattle.
Michael Wacha
Not really sure if it’s a sign of the apocalypse that a fourteen game slate is finally given to us and Michael Wacha winds up as one of my pitching recommendations, however it cannot be a great sign. Wacha historically can have more issues with RH bats than lefties and my assumption is that Tampa will just roll out 9 lefties tonight because they like to think they’re the smartest team in the room. Sorry Tampa, you’re not going to the World Series. This smells like a random Wacha 6 inning, 1 ER, 4 strike out game and that’s a viable play today.

- Alex Young – Texas remains a team that lacks consistent offense.
- Max Fried – Should be a lower scoring game with him and Sixto battling it out in Atlanta.
San Francisco Giants
Alex Dickerson, Brandon Belt
San Francisco believe it or not is potentially a playoff team as they’re fighting with the Brewers for the final 8 seed. Dickerson is hot again and while Yaz is banged up there’s still plenty in this lineup to love today against Ryan Castellani and a Rockies bullpen that is already planning their ski excursions for the winter.
St. Louis Cardinals
Paul Goldschmidt, Paul DeJong, Tommy Edman, Yadier Molina
Danny Duffy started the season off hot but has really crashed of late (Thanks, I’ll be here all week). In a seriousness, Paul Goldschmidt vs a fastball lefty is still close to a cheat code and with Duffy being off quite a bit lately he’s in a dream spot tonight. The Cardinals offense isn’t a deep one but we will gladly take the production from Goldy, DeJong, Molina and Edman.
ADD: Philadelphia Phillies
Love Alec Bohm tonight, and it’s a tough decision for me with loving Goldy and Sogard as my 1B/3B HR calls but Bohm for sure is in the mix as well. Love love love him today.

This is the rule on Bauer. Divisional opponents who see him multiple times finally start to get to him and this is a 3+ homer spot for the Brewers. Warmer temps in Cincinnati and a tiny ballpark for the Brewers to be very sneaky tonight against Bauer.
