Tonight we have the Chris Paul bowl as the LA Clippers face the NO Pelicans… Wait, LAC isn’t L.A. Clippers? Oh right, the Chargers are playing that football team from the south. What’s their name again?
GAME WINNER BET
SAINTS -7
I expect a lower scoring game tonight which is won by the Saints defense and the benefit of playing a team on back to back road games.
GAME CAPTAINS
SAINTS DEFENSE
Here’s your very contrarian top play tonight. Chargers rookie QB Justin Herbert has come into the season turning the ball over and taking sacks in each of his three appearances this season. While he does posses the ability to air it out, he will have to move the Chargers offense down the field without Austin Ekeler and with a banged up offensive line. New Orleans is finally getting their full D-Line together for the first time all season and will have Marshon Lattimore back at 100% to cover Keenan Allen tonight. Look for the Saints defense to generate a couple turnovers, a few sacks and return a Hunter Henry fumble recovery for a touchdown tonight. How’s that for bold?
PRIMARY PLAYER POOL
LA Chargers
- Highest Owned:
- Hunter Henry – Has better chance of leading the team in receptions than Keenan Allen despite Allen’s massive target share w/ Herbert at QB.
- Secondary Plays:
- Jalen Guyton – Most likely to catch a bomb for a TD
- Keenan Allen
- Justin Herbert
- Michael Badgley
NO Saints
- Highest Owned:
- Saints Defense
- Secondary Plays:
- Alvin Kamara – $ isn’t an issue on Showdown tonight and his volume will get him there.
- Drew Brees – I see this being a heavy spread it around game for the Saints on offense, so take Brees in his final game vs the Chargers.
- Taysom Hill – Do it
- Josh Hill / Jared Cook – Love this spot for the Saints TE and in a lower scoring game that 3 yard Josh Hill touchdown will pay off nicely.
- Wil Lutz
Prediction: Saints 30, Chargers 9
