Gentlemen (and ladies I guess), we are down to just to regular season weeks with the lovely Carrie Underwood giving us hope for our Sunday night Showdown lineups and we have what could wind up being the best Sunday night game of the season.
The forecast in Green Bay is calling for snow today tapering off around game time. Let’s hope that it lingers around so that we can see Derrick Henry running through Lambeau in the snow.
There is a scenario where the Packers might not need this game at all without actually having clinched the #1 seed. The scenario is actually if Seattle wins of all things and the Packers then HAVE to win next week against the Bears but a loss tonight wouldn’t really change things. I can’t envision the Packers pulling guys because of this but it’s ironic because the Titans were in the exact same scenario last year and they wound up sitting guys in that spot — but Green Bay doesn’t have too many notable banged up guys so they should be a full go tonight.
Titans
Derrick Henry – If this was a main slate game he would be the top play on the board. Henry’s been an absolute beast on the road all season long as they get him the ball 25+ times and the best way to attack Green Bay remains through the ground game with a physical back. If the Titans dont get Henry 25+ touches on the ground tonight they don’t deserve to be in the playoffs.

Packers
Aaron Rodgers – Snow or no snow, there’s little reason to be fearful of Rodgers being able to shred a pass defense that the Lions just tore up.
Aaron Jones – This is the contrarian captain of the night. Tennessee has a good rush defense but with Jammal Williams out Jones may see more third down role in the passing game for the Packers and has been known to be one of the best contrarian DFS players the last few years.
MVS / Lazard – Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize that Henry+Rodgers+Brown+Adams just won’t work on Showdown builds. So while Adams will get his and makes a nice captain play any week, I would look at the secondary options for the Packers to save $.
