HA near full Tuesday slate with lots of good pitching tonight but lots of humid spots out there. The Indians/Rays game has been PPD due to a few rain showers scaring the good folks of Tampa.

Milwaukee at NY Mets – Some rain concerns and deGrom is pitching, so we gotta pay attention here.
White Sox at Twins – Death. Taxes. White Sox at Twins having rain issues.
Rockies at Diamondbacks – Roof Closed. Booo. Wimps

Jake deGrom
Rain is going to drive everything on deGrom tonight and with ~28 options at SP there are definitely some other guys we can look at to have good games, but obviously deGrom is just not human and facing a high strike-out team in the Brewers, so if the rain is all clear then he’ll deliver. Yeah, Christian Yelich owns him but the warm weather that you might hear about today is going to fade after storms so I actually prefer deGrom in the scenario where the game starts in a delay and some folks fade him. Delay = Play, On time = fade. Live dangerous either way.
Ian Anderson
Do not be afraid, the water is warm and you should jump right back into using a Braves SP vs the Pirates tonight. Anderson has been solid of late away from Truist Park when he is in better parks for pitching which helps keep the ball in the park for him. His fastball and change up play well against the Pirates batters and only Ke’Bryan Hayes looks like he could do damage but in a park not friendly to RH batters it should be a 6 inning win for Anderson tonight.
Jon Gray
Someone has to win between the Rockies and the Diamondbacks tonight, per MLB rules at least. Both offenses have been picked on quite a bit this season and I would much rather go after the Diamondbacks lineup with Gray than face Story/Blackman in Chase Field with Merrill Kelly. Jon Gray has been extremely good lately as he is pitching to hopefully get traded to a contender and should deliver you 6 innings tonight with high chances of leaving with a road win.
Good Pitcher Getting Overlooked
Jameison Taillon
Taillon is someone I would be willing to take a shot on out in Seattle tonight. Him, Gray and Gonso are all in the same price range on DK but he’s facing just as weak of an offense in Seattle who with a bunch of kids tends to swing and miss quite a bit more at home. I expect Gray and Gonso to pitch well, but JT is another viable mid range choice.
Tony Gonsolin
Gonsolin continues to be limited but effective and should be able to get stretched out a little further tonight against a very weak at home Marlins lineup. He is a quality mid range SP on the slate even if not projected for 100 pitches.
Toronto Blue Jays
Grichuk, Biggio, Bichette
No other team is on the Blue Jays tier tonight offensively so lets take the quick path with the Jays in a warm and humid Camden Yards off a day of rest.
Boston Red Sox
Verdugo, Devers, Xander
Hot take alert: Because he is so amazing offensively right now and playing the field every day, Ohtani is actually tipping his pitches on the mound and hasn’t realized it yet. I expect him to get hit again tonight and we know he won’t go long with a bad bullpen behind him too making Boston a great spot to drop a ton of late night hammers.
Tigers/Rangers
Baddoo, Schoop, Grossman …. Lowe/Adolis/Gallo
I really hope the roof is open in this game tonight, with temps in the mid 80’s and a low change of storms and wind I think there’s a great chance it happens. I’ve been on record lately that Dane Dunning is showing signs of wearing down and he only got through 68 pitches in his last start. He is at 76 IP now and the last time he was above 86 was back in 2017. On the flip side, the Tigers bullpen is a gold mine if the Rangers can get Urena out of this game early, so with many other spots popping tonight don’t overlook picking on bad pitchers.
CATCHER
The Phillies draw good weather in Wrigley again and former Phillie Jake Arrieta, so they’ll be popular and should do okay, but I’m mostly interested in one guy and one guy only.
