Game Information

I will call a spade a spade on this one.  This game is a major debbie downer from what we could have had with these two teams.  The Browns are extremely banged up and the Broncos have come crashing down to earth overall with a couple bad home losses lately.

Both teams in many ways are looking to right the ship tonight and thus we would want to see their best performances but in reality they’re banged up and on a short week.  This one could get ugly and oh yeah, I haven’t even mentioned its Case Keenum revenge game!

You can and should suspect to be leaving money on the table tonight.  In fact on FanDuel you have no choice but to do such.

• Jarvis Landry has been activated and should play for Cleveland tonight
• Odell Beckham Jr is questionable.

Javonte Williams

The timeshare continues for the Broncos but at some point with recent losses you have to expect they will turn it over to be more 70-30 with Williams leading the way.  With teams on short weeks I prioritize guys who can break off big runs out of the backfield and Williams has that advantage over Gordon.

Noah Fant

This is how bad the slate is, TE are popping off as viable captain plays.

Beckham or Landry

If Beckham is a go then this is a rare spot where I would take a shot on him.  He shines in primetime games only and with Landry back should get a few more easier looks on the outside as Landry hopefully occupies attention over the middle some more.  The Cleveland passing game cannot be desired much but then I dont want much from their ground game either.

VALUE Plays

This really isn’t applicable because of how this Showdown lines up.  So here I am going to give you a focus on building a lineup with correlation in mind.  If you have a WR/TE in the Captain spot you should have the QB with him.

But here’s the winner tonight.  If you have a defense from one team, you should have the QB from the other.  Why?  It’s not just sacks but its more that obvious D/ST that we want to win in Showdown when it randomly happens and when that happens were turning the ball back to the other QB very quickly and with 6 to 8 more points that they gotta catch up with.  Its a sneaky correlation but one I like tonight with the Broncos D + Keenum.
