There’s a lot of scoring going on out in College Hoops these days and tonight sets up to be another one of those type of nights.   We also have the Zags on the slate on a Wednesday night, they are on the road as 30 point favorites at Pepperdine and have no reason to be on the slate.   Oh well.

Miami at Louisville

I suspect the Cardinals are pretty chalky tonight given that they’re fairly cheap due to how the lineup has been rolling out.

Miss St at Alabama

With JD Davison getting the spot start last week over Quinerly it becomes hard to trust Nate Oates in terms of those two, but I like Alabama to show up in this game and you have two guys who will handle the ball a good amount for sub 7k in a home high total.  Hard to imagine they dont both rack up some assists today.  With Mississippi State allowing 47% 3Par on the season we’re likely to see a good long distance volume from Bama, so Quinerly gets the slight nod and Shackelford is in play too

Tolu Smith being the big vs Alabama gets the nod as the top play overall in this game.

Averaging 30+ minutes over the last month while hauling in a 21% defensive rebounding rate and has a floor in the mid 20’s.  With a tempo boost game against St. Johns and little resistance inside he should tear it up tonight because Soriano is trash and Champagnie won’t play defense on the road here.

Bigs against Alabama, getting all the rebounds, blocks and easy put back points.

Boo Buie, Northwestern

Guards are giving Purdue problems and Northwestern isn’t as deep as some other teams who has faced Purdue lately.  I can see Buie with his high usage having an easy path to 30+ points tonight.

El Ellis, Louisville

Over the Cards last three games, Ellis has maintained the most consistent production playing 33+ minutes in two of those games and taking a total of 45 shots in that time span.  He doesn’t do a ton in terms of assists, steals and blocks but we’re talking about a sub 5k player vs a defense which has yielded back to back 70+ points allowed games.
