CBB DFS: Feb 22nd

The highest total is between Michigan State and Iowa.  Two teams I am not very fond of, but the value on Sparty will draw lots of attention.  In fact, there’s really a ton of good value today and not much in the mid range, so it’s playing like a studs and duds night.

UNLV vs NEVADA

UNLV:  Bryce Hamilton

NEVADA:  Desmond Cambridge

NORTHWESTERN

NW:  Boo Buie, Pete Nance

Bryce Hamilton – 9000 – UNLV

There aren’t as many high priced studs on this slate but this game features two of them with Hamilton (who gets the pace boost) going up against Nevada’s Desmond Cambridge (8700).  Both defenses are suspect at best and both these guys dominate the ball for their teams however it’s Hamilton who is the more consistent and higher upside play.

Boo Buie – 6700 – Northwestern

Still one of the best names in college basketball, it’s not quite on God Shammgod level but how do you not respect Boo Buie?  The Junior Guard had a field day against Nebraska a couple weeks back dropping 27 points on 10-15 shooting.  His floor once again vs the Cornhuskers makes him a great core play.

Ithiel Horton – 4800 – Pittsburgh

Horton missed most of the start of the season but his production has turned it on of late as he has gotten nearly full run (37, 39, 40, 39 minutes played) and produced 25+ points in three of his last four.  For a 4800 guy who should continue to see 90% of the minutes we’re not going to think twice.

High End:  7500 and Above

Bryce Hamilton – 9000 – UNLV

Scotty Pippen Jr – 8800 – Vanderbilt

Desmond Cambridge – 8700 – Nevada

Adama Sanogo – 7500 – UCONN

Jaden Shackelford – 7900 – Alabama

Mid Range:  6000-7400

Boo Buie – 6700 – Northwestern

Quenton Jackson – 6500 – Texas A&M

Isaiah Wong – 7100 – Miami

Pete Nance – 6800 – Northwestern

Philandrous Fleming – 6000 – Florida

Jamarius Burton – 6300 – Pitt

Below $5,500 Value

Quentin Milora-Brown – 4200 – Vanderbilt

Robbie Beran – 3600 – Northwestern

Julius Marble – 3800 – Michigan State

Tyson Degenhart – 4900 – Boise State

[spacer height=”20px”]

AJ Hoggard – 4900 – Michigan State

Sparty will be popular today.  Why?  Well, they’re facing Iowa and they’re all 6k or below.  The reason though why they are all dirt cheap is because quite frankly from a DFS perspective, they suck.  Hoggard is the top Guard who could produce as he leads the team in usage on the season and has the highest assist rate.  So if anything he’ll get some freebies just by virtue of facing the dreamy Iowa defense/tempo combination.
