CBB DFS: Feb 26th

Before we know it the season is gone.  I have made some big strides with the model this year and am looking forward to a solid March run once again much like we had last year.

Reminder that I never stack more than 4 players from any one game and no more than 2 players per team total.  Ideally, you can do a 3-2-2-1 type build today.

UNC vs NC State

Two mediocre to bad defenses squaring off in this one.  For some stupid (retarded) reason DraftKings has Armando Bacot as a Guard.  Which really doesn’t matter that much, but it’s just stupid.  I wouldn’t be shocked if Leaky Black had a sneaky good game for the Tar Heels today but he’s about $800 too much, so we should just take Bacot and Love if considering a stack in this game.

  • Caleb Love – UNC
  • Armando Bacot – UNC
  • Terquavion Smith – NC State
  • Jericole Hellems – NC State
  • Cam Hayes – NC State (Deep Value)

Florida at Georgia

These teams met on Feb 9th and the final score was only 135.  Hammer the over today as the Gators are coming in playing well despite a home loss to Arkansas after their Auburn upset.  With Castleon being a walking 40 burger every day out he’s the #1 play on this slate for me — we just need to recognize that Tyree Appleby is eating … okay fine, I won’t make the bad pun joke here.  He’s legit and still too cheap and should be very popular today.

Aaron Cook game for Georgia

  • Colin Castleton – Florida
  • Aaron Cook – Georgia
  • Tyree Appleby – Florida
  • Kario Oquendo – Georgia

West Virginia at Texas

Great value game to target.  Taz Sherman remains one of the most disrespected players in the Big 12 and could have a huge game today.  Overall though this is likely a spot to just take the value on the Longhorns guards (Carr & Ramey) and move on.  Note, in their last four they have not BOTH had good games in the same game and so  you shouldn’t play both just one.  Carr is the better player, but since they’re alternating 20 point games it is Ramey’s turn.

  • Taz Sherman – WV
  • Andrew Jones – Texas
  • Courtney Ramey or Marcus Carr  – Texas
  • Sean McNeil – WV

Sub 5500 Value

Julius Marble – 3800 – Michigan State

Has seen 20+ minutes per game and is getting over 1 FPT per minute.  With the bigs of Purdue coming in, he will have to be involved again today.

Marcus Carr – 4700 – Texas

The Longhorns are going to be a value team today and this should wind up being a game that we target the over in.  Both Carr and Courtney Ramey have interest in a pace boost game at home.

Hunter Cattoor – 5200 – VT

Cam Hayes – 3200 – NC State

Still limited minutes but Hayes is likely the future PG for the Wolfpack and could see 15+ minutes in a high tempo game with UNC.

Keve Aluma – Virginia Tech

Miami can be beat with size and is a terrible rebounding team.  This is an ideal spot for Aluma who is one of two strong rebounders (Mutts the other) for the Hokies and leads the team in usage, minutes and scoring.  He’s very likely to hit 30+ today and always has 50 point upside in close, competitive games.
