CBB DFS: Feb 27th

UCONN at Georgetown

The Hoyas will keep this one close.  UCONN has been off since their 2 point win over Villanova on Tuesday and now has a Sunday high noon game in DC?  Yeah, RJ Cole is a lock for us given that he has cooled off a bit and this is the best get right game he could ask for against the Hoyas, but the real value in this game will be finding Georgetown players to trust and it’s only Aminu that I really trust.

  • UCONN:  RJ Cole, Adama Sanogo, Tyler Polley (Value)
  • Georgetown:   Aminu Mohammed

St. Johns at DePaul

Certainly game stack viable as the Blue Demons essentially play 6 guys and everyone but JFL is 6200 or less in a big pace boost home game.

Posh Alexander is the only St Johns player I would trust.  I forsee some chalk on their cheaper value plays but that’s not my optimal build here.  This is mostly a game stack full or iso game.

  • SJ:  Posh Alexander
  • DePaul:   JFL, Nick Ongenda

Ohio State at Maryland

The one thing we know about the Terps is that they will remain unpredictable and they will continue to play bad defense while Fatts Russell drops 30+ fantasy points every game out.

Liddell should tear up the Terps as long as he isn’t checking his Instagram DMs during the game and worrying about hate messages.  If he is on the floor for the 35 MPG he should get then he’ll have a 40 point day.  If he is in foul trouble then Kyle Young will hit value.

  • OSU – EJ Liddell or Kyle Young
  • Maryland – Fatts Russell

Tulane at Temple

Prior meeting had 175 points in it.  This one definitely has fall asleep potential associated with it but it has really good value on the Tulane side.  So we can either full game stack here or just take a piece or two.  Jaen Cook and Kevin Cross combined are 13.9k on draftkings and shoud combine for neary 70 fantasy points for the Green Wave. Temple is a little harder to peg but Tai Strickland should bounce back after a down game and continue his recent strong play

  • Tulane – Jalen Cook, Kevin Cross
  • Temple – Tai Strickland, Jahlil White

Pay Up Studs

RJ Cole – 7000 – UCONN

A scoring PG against the Hoyas.  Like taking candy from a baby.  If Georgetown is gonna keep it close like I expect then we’re going to get that ceiling game from RJ Cole.

EJ Liddell  – 8400 – Ohio State

Out of all the 8k+ guys here we have likely the best option in Liddell against a weak Terps interior.

Fatts Russell – 7300 – Maryland

A scoring PG against the Hoyas.  Like taking candy from a baby.

Middle Range

DeAndre Williams - 2021-22 - Men's Basketball - University of Memphis Athletics

DeAndre Williams – 6300 – Memphis

Put up 35 points against the Shockers earlier this season despite a low 13% usage in that game.  He will do work on the boards giving him the best floor on the slate.

Kevin Cross – 6800 – Tulane

The man, the machine, the legend.  Love Kevin Cross as usual.

Craig Porter – 6400 – Wichita St

Eli Brooks – 6300 – Michigan

Trent Frazier – 6200 – Illinois

Sub 5500 Value

The Tai that binds: Strickland carried Owls down stretchTai Strickland – 5000 – Temple

The son of Rod, he plays like his father in that he’ll need to get to the line to put up a good stat line.  He didn’t do that vs Memphis (which is understandable) but before that his big games have come when he gets to the line a ton.  I expect that to be his bounce back today.

Jahlil White – 5500 – Temple

Kyle Young – 4800 – Ohio State

Tyler Polley – 3200 – UCONN

Nick Ongenda – 5400 – DePaul

[spacer height=”20px”]

R.J. Cole – UCONN

Cole’s ownership will stay low with Sanogo being highly owned from UCONN and everyone wanting to touch on the DePaul/St. John’s game.  He should safely out perform everyone in that game however from a ROI perspective.
