The Dongers Club – July 27th (Early)

A little mid week afternoon Baseball to cure the boredom that you might have, or maybe to influence you to do a little day drinking possibly?  If the idea of Janson Junk and Andrew Heaney pitching doesn’t get the blood flowing for you then I don’t know what will my friends.

WEATHER

Extremely humid and warm in Kansas City

If the roof is OPEN in Milwaukee then that game will have a good HR boost as well

It’s only 95 in Coors but it feels like 35 because the White Sox are in town

80 and a day game in Dodger Stadium, nothing to see here folks, just Corbin and Heaney

Warm again in Seattle

It’s July, its warm, lets move on.

LOGAN WEBB

On page three of Logan Webb’s contract it clearly states that Mr. Webb shall only pitch in day games during the 2022 season, because once again, here we go with Logan Webb in a day game.  I am really interested in game stacking the pitchers in Chase Field with Mr. Gallen below and the Diamondbacks offense is fairly easy for Webb to once again control

ZAC GALLEN

Equally as good as Webb and like Webb he hasn’t had much issue with the Giants roster and being at home he generally pitches a little cleaner here.  Between these two we can look for a 40 combined outing and that should be good enough today.r

Also “OK”:   Javier, Giolito, Keller

Chicago White Sox

I don’t see how Jose Abreu cannot have 2 hits off Antonio Senzatela today, other than maybe Senzatela doesn’t last that long or he just walks Abreu.  Senz is not great at keeping RHH off the bases and this is where I should just point out that we are talking about the White Sox and so who cares because they’re probably going to suck ass and get no-hit today despite being in a smash spot.

Rangers @ Mariners

Jon Gray gets hit today and the Rangers do not leave Seattle quietly here either.  This is again a spot I want to buy into for home runs and I would be shocked if Seager didn’t pull out a nice LvL homer today off Marco G for Texas.

Milwaukee Brewers

The roof will need to be open to help this out but with Hunter Renfroe on FIRE right now he is a solid play no matter what.  Yelich and Adames can set the table off Archer today for Milwaukee, who eventually is always the best team to use a catcher from on these mid week day games too.

SHORTSTOP

I project that most everyone will go Trea or Timmy here at Shortstop today but Seager has a higher xISO in this split than both of them and vs Marco has equally the HR/9 upside that Trea Turner has vs Corbin.  I strongly believe in Seager today and think he’s the right pivot.
