I very much likely these games that we have here tonight. On FanDuel you will not be subject to sweating Albert Pujols and the special baseballs which are being rotated in when he comes up (its a joke, or is it?) to bat tonight in game 2 of the Cardinals-Cubs double-header.
The schedule SP in that game are Jake Woodford (STL) and Adrian Sampson (CHC).

WEATHER
Toronto at Boston – Hah. Poor Red Sox. It’s muggy/humid up in Fenway tonight with temps in the low 70’s and some stray showers around the area. Game should play.
Outside of that I see no issues, a couple higher humidity spots tonight but nothing which is really overwhelming.
[spacer height=”10px”]

I think we might have seen a trend starter last night with Max Scherzer and Edward Cabrera being two prime examples. The first end of the trend, which is common this time of season, is that Ace pitchers who have playoffs in their future tend to slow down around this time of year and paying extreme prices on them isn’t always justified in late August and early September. The other end of that spectrum are the younger pitchers who are up and trying to make a name for themselves without many restriction (Cabrera).
Tonight we see Justin Verlander who has an ice cold Twins lineup which is likely without Byron Buxton coming into town. I just don’t think we need JV on a massive slate tonight.
Similar scenario for Tony Gonsolin and even though LA lost to Milwaukee last night, they have no need for him to over extend his pitch count tonight — but he should be good and all that.
[spacer height=”10px”]
All that said, I’m not ignoring guys just based off price and definitely value paying up today with so many value hitters to find.
MAX FRIED
Fried on the other hand is too hard to pass up vs the Pirates. Fried is not someone who has to have a massive strikeout game to justify using him since he can go 7 or 8 strong with a bunch of quick innings when he is commanding the zone well. Pittsburgh has been very strikeout friendly against lefties and Fried under 10k on DraftKings should finish with a score north of 25 points today.
PABLO LOPEZ
Pablo will face the three S’s today in Sean, Seth and Shea and they should go like this. Swing and a Miss, Swing and a Miss, Swing and a Miss. The Athletics have no shot hitting against Lopez tonight. Alright, so they will have 5 hits total in the game, 3 of which come off Pablo over 8 innings of 0 ER allowed.
ROBBIE RAY
Ray after dark on the other hand does need the swing and miss game working and he should be able to get that vs the putrid and young Nationals lineup today.
[spacer height=”10px”]
The probably pitches well but not my guys tier.
Carlos Rodon – He has an edge over Fried just based off #’s when we look at opposing lineup. He is also $1600 more than Fried and not worth the extra $1600 on DK.
Corbin Burnes – Just play Ray instead
Ranger Suarez – Just play Fried instead
Aaron Civale – Just play with yourself instead
[spacer height=”10px”]
Just don’t want to use these guys, so don’t ask.
With 15 games you really don’t need to dig too much to find value with hitters tonight and there is a game in Coors Field so you know there will be value out there with these moron DFS pricing models.
So guys like Zach Logue vs the crappy Marlins is a no.
Jose Suarez and Corey Kluber? I hardly know her.
A reduced Frankie Montas is going to pitch better vs the Mets tonight, but he too, is a no.
Drew Hutchison? I would rather play our subscriber Jeramie Hutchins’ Son.
[spacer height=”10px”]

Nice little spread it out kind of slate.
BLUE JAYS
George Springer, Alejandro Kirk, Teoscar Hernandez, Bo Bichette
I mean we just gotta trust the Jays in their American Home Park, right? Winkowski doesn’t miss bats and the Boston defense hasn’t exactly been stout at doing the basic things. Jays should have ducks on the pond and all the RBI opportunities for Kirk, Teoscar and Bo, your favorite attorney’s at law.

PHILLIES
Hoskins, Castellanos, Segura
Remember when we all played Jean Segura in Cincinnati vs Nick Lodolo in that Noon game and Lodolo shut down the Phils?

Yeah well, that ain’t happening again. Phillies roll.
ROYALS
Melendez, Witt, Perez, Pratto
My Royals… Oh, My Royals. Mondesi isn’t coming back this year but this is always their time of year when they can turn it on and beat up on bad pitchers at home. Zach Davies fits that mold allowing a .204 ISO on the road with 10 HOMERS away from Chase Field and I am going to venture to guess that the woman he was cheating on his wife with was not some hot coed from a Big 12 school. So Zach won’t last long here and this game is probably the juiciest game stack on the night for psychopaths like myself.
THE COORS GAME
TEX – Calhoun, Seager, Lowe …
Simply put, if you are on DraftKings you have all the free squares to pick from tonight. Calhoun vs Marquez is hard to ignore and if they happen to move him up in the lineup how do you not take that on FanDuel as well? Even Corey Seager here is too cheap on FD at 3900.

COL – Blackmon, McMahon, Iglesias (FD)
Don’t sleep on the Rockies though, we should now welcome Ryan McMahon to the 2022 fantasy baseball season. He’s actually had a very Ryan McMahon type season thus far just without the extra HR pop. That changes here soon.
[spacer height=”10px”]
Braves – Pricey and I like the bottom of the order guys again but tonight is Robbie Grossman 9 hole night if you roll Braves. Riley should go yard too.
[spacer height=”10px”]

Speaking of narratives, we have some guys visiting their old stomping grounds tonight. Just a quick glance and Emmanuel Rivera, Carlos Correa, Josh Naylor, Nelson Cruz are all reminding us that you can in fact go home.
