One more day of trades to get through and then things hopefully will stabilize with regards to lineup changes and pitching swaps, etc.
The Rockies and Padres are playing a DH today so Game 2 is on DraftKings, but not on FanDuel.

WEATHER
All games play.
[spacer height=”10px”]

Today marks the return of Jacob deGrom to a big league mound. He is priced like he should be and thus with him likely having a very short leash we will skip over the Mets Ace today even against the AAA Nationals Lineup.
A key thing to do this time of year is make sure you rule guys out to narrow down the pitching choices. A good number of guys might stand out as options, but we only pick 2 max per lineup so narrow your pool when you have depth like tonight.
CORBIN BURNES
The Pirates have been striking out more lately with their top two hitters (Reynolds/Hayes) being two guys that Burnes should be able to handle. Assuming Reynolds is still on the team by the time the game will play.
Eight of the Nine projected hitters for the Pirates (yeah, they only get nine too) have below AVG xSLG projections against Burnes too and there just aren’t many more consistent DFS plays than Burnes these days.
ADAM WAINWRIGHT
We stay in the NL Central with the Cardinals veteran RHP on the mound against the Cubs — who I am expecting to not have Contreras on the roster by the time this game starts. But even if he does we are in Waino time now, coming off one of his best starts of the season and getting a Cubs lineup which isn’t hitting much at the moment.
NOAH SYNDERGAARD
I kinda like the Angels to win tonight, yeah, them Angels. The thing with Thor is that assuming he stays with the Angels past the deadline today he is someone we like pitching at home and the Athletics are a pretty low walk team so I don’t see why he wouldn’t give us 6 innings against a lineup with 6 RHB,

The following ‘Good’ Pitchers were given some consideration today but ultimately they did not make the A-B-C list…
Kevin Gausman – Gausman is a very streaky pitcher and I can’t say I endorse his current mediocrity.
Spencer Strider – VERY warm obviously in Atlanta, his price will make him popular but seeing Philly twice in a row could lead to less success this time out.
Cristian Javier – Mr 5 IP and potentially pitching to a new Catcher today.
Cole Irvin – All his good starts are at home. He is not at home tonight. End of discussion.
Triston McKenzie – I can’t pay 9,800 for McKenzie with other solid aces going. We are done shopping at this store.

BREWERS
Yelich, Adames, Tellez, McCutchen, Narvaez
All LHB have done vs Bryse Wilson is hit .309 with a .205 ISO. Milwaukee is the ultimate jeckyl & hyde offense but when they are in PNC they usually are on the mark
BRAVES
Middle to Bottom of Order: Riley, Contreras, Rosario, Arcia
Dear Marcell Ozuna, can you maybe get a clutch hit around here or something? Honestly I hope he sits for Eddie Rosario but we don’t know really what depth the Phillies will turn too out of their pen tonight. Look for lots of walks from the Phils pitchers with the middle/bottom of the order getting to clean up the bases.
—- Update: Rosario is in, he is a core Brave today.
TIGERS vs TWINS
This is my version of last nights Diamondbacks/Guardians game. We welcome back Matt Manning to the big leagues and he should get a rude welcome back from the Twins 1-4 hitters.
After a couple 0’s, look for Riley Greene ($4100 on DK) to be a critical player to DFS tonight. Archer only throws a couple pitches and a lead off fastball should help get Greene going for a multi-hit game.
I like the over here, and it warrants a game stack.

Second Tier Spots
White Sox – Same stupid logic as last night with Keller now pushed to today – if – he does start.
Astros – Everyone around Yordan has to produce. Tucker is slumping but this team will put the ball in play vs Crawford.
Rangers – Look for Jordan Lyles to finally not make it through 4 or 5 IP today. This is a bad lineup for him to have to navigate.

SHORTSTOP
We have ourselves a loaded position at Shortstop today. Highly regarded as one of the deepest positions in fantasy I was making fun of this spot for a while for being so dead in 2022.
It has done a 180 tonight. Lindor is on fire, Seager gets a cupcake match-up and many others stand out here as well. You shouldn’t bother trying to get cute with value here, because we’re expecting fireworks and on FanDuel you should have two shortstops today.
