Look what we have here kids, it’s everyone playing in the 7:05 PM Window of games on a Tuesday night in August. Thank you for no Senior Citizen’s Slate of games which means we have teams like the Marlins and Reds on the slate.
However, we don’t have all games on the slate and that’s probably good news as the White Sox and Royals are going to play two games today with the first one at 4pm and the second one on neither FD or DK.
Rejoice, there will be no White Sox stack recommendations.
However, we do have minimized pricing on hitters, and look at that, a ton of donkey contests tonight to lure in the NFL people to try and win.

WEATHER
It’s August, therefore it’s Humid still and uh yeah, we’re going to be playing a few overs tonight…
Marlins at Phillies – They could see storms and there is an ‘Excessive Heat Warning’. Sounds fun.
Braves at Red Sox – Well fuck me sideways. Braves in Boston in August with lots of humidity and Dick Mountain
Jays at Orioles – Similar to the Philly game, only less likely for a storm delay.

The theme for tonight is “We meet again”. Lots of guys who have faced each other and a few who have squared off recently such as Ohtani vs Kaprielian and Cole vs Castillo.
SHANE BIEBER
This is probably the 28th time this season that I have wrote about how Shane Bieber is starting against the Tigers and at least 3 of those times he has wound up getting scratched due to rain issues. I see zero rain in the forecast in this spot so Beebs vs the Tigers is in play once again.
His last outing in Detroit hopefully scares some away as he got roughed up then, but the current form of the Tigers make me think we’re going to get elite Beebs today.
- Shohei Ohtani is the other main high end SP option off Bieber with Cole actually being a close second in a bounce back spot but neither of which I will use over Bieber.
MARCUS STROMAN
No wind issues, no humidty issues, the only thing that can fuck this up tonight is Marcus Stroman himself and he has had a very solid season in Chicago padding his stats against some weak competition and in an environment that half the time plays very well for pitching. Look for Stroman to give you 6 innings tonight with 4 to 5 strikeouts and if the Cubs can get the lead early he’ll add on the win as well. He’s gonna produce that a 7500 pitcher should and he is 7200, so next question.
JAMES KAPRIELIAN
One of the re-match spots and Kaprielian was the better guy last week and should be able to do well vs the Angels once again tonight where he has the home park help.

Cheap Guys who I like
Paolo Espino (DK: $5,100) … We don’t need cheap and dirty on FanDuel but on DraftKings with lots of offense on this slate I’m not opposed to using Espino as a 2nd pitcher. The risk is more that Chicago will take a good number of pitches and he hasn’t thrown more than 71 since mid June, so a 4 inning cap could be in play here but Espino has low walk rates and the type of match-up where he could limit damage.
Zach Thompson (DK: $6,100) … Just a gut feeling he pitches well, not gonna try to put lipstick on a pig and sell it to you other than I like him to tame the Diamondbacks.

BRAVES
Acuna, Riley, Ozuna
The Braves are in Boston, which is a spot where historically there’s been some huge games from them. If Rich Hill’s curve ball isn’t breaking hard tonight then Atlanta is going to Ambush him out of the game before 8:00 pm EST.
BLUE JAYS
Hernandez, Guerrero, Bichette
Orioles SP Kyle Bradish still hasn’t proven he can completely dominate RHH without giving up HR to them. That’s a sub optimal scenario since he has to find a way to establish his 4-seamer and I’m not sure how he’s gonna get Vlad Guerrero or Teoscar Hernandez out tonight, or he walks them and Bichette slams home everyone.
CARDINALS
Gorman, Carlson, Arenado, Molina
Gee. I wonder who we are playing here?? All kidding aside, it’s once again a Coors slate with near min price players, fantastic job you nitwits at DK. Molina 2200, Nootbar 2300 are “help my math” guys with lineup building however the real bargains are Gorman and Carlson 1-2.
PIRATES
Newman, Reynolds, Hayes, Chavis
This is the best cheap heavy stack to look at for paying up with pitching. They’ll get to see a rookie in Tommy Henry who likely still has some command issues and the Pirates have a good chance of some crooked innings tonight.

- Nolan Gorman – Much like Rhys, this is a great mid range price on someone who hasn’t done much lately but honestly should have been the return in the other Nolan being traded away. Look for Nolan x2 Revenge here…. Then again, Gorman is probably happy he wasn’t in the deal.
