Stacks That I Have My Eye On
Below I’ll break down the particular stacks I’m interested and delve into it based on matchup, ability, predicted game script, and collective salary while picking an opposing player or two to run that stack back with if appropriate. *Note: All pricing is DraftKings focused
Las Vegas Raiders (vs. Arizona Cardinals)
QB Derek Carr, WR Davante Adams, TE Darren Waller The Cardinals were lit up by Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs last week and this could be a common trend for much of the season for the Cards. Carr ($6,200) and Adams ($8,600) are just too cheap for the matchup and potential shootout affair we have in store here. Adams saw a 46 percent target share last week, just what we expected with the reunion with Carr. While Carr and Adams should have solid ownership, Waller could be overlooked a bit at tight end with some notable value and mid-tier options. Run it Back: WR Marquise Brown Much like last week, Hollywood should be the run-back play as the Cardinals, who run a ton of plays have Brown as their number one receiver right now. Last week Hollywood caught four passes for 43 yards with a touchdown on six targets.[spacer height=”13px”]
Washington Commanders
QB Carson Wentz, WR Terry McLaurin Wentz went bananas last week against the Jaguars going 27-41 with 313 yards and four touchdowns (two interceptions as well) but the Commanders’ offense looked good in Week 1. Detroit was torched by the Eagles, notably by A.J. Brown hauling in 10 balls on 13 targets for 155 yards. McLaurin only saw four targets resulting in two catches for 58 yards, one being a 49 yard score, but that could be more of an outlier than anything else. We could also look to add in Jahan Dotson ($4,200) after his big debut as a third-leg in a game with sneaky shootout appeal. Run it Back: WR Amon-Ra St. Brown The top receiver for the Jaguars Christian Kirk torched Washington last week and St. Brown (8 receptions, 64 yards, one touchdown in Week 1) could be in store for a big effort at home in Week 2. St. Brown saw 12 targets as the Lions’ top receiver and we could expect nine or more targets here as well.[spacer height=”13px”]
