Stacks That I Have My Eye On

Below I’ll break down the particular stacks I’m interested and delve into it based on matchup, ability, predicted game script, and collective salary while picking an opposing player or two to run that stack back with if appropriate. *Note: All pricing is DraftKings focused

Kansas City Chiefs (vs. Jacksonville Jaguars)

QB Patrick Mahomes, WR JuJu Smith-Schuster This could be the most clear-cut stack on the slate but that doesn’t mean it’s not foolproof. Mahomes is coming off a monster effort in which he pushed 500 yards passing but is this spot too good to be true? I don’t think so, the Chiefs’ offense should be able to move the ball well against the Jaguars’ defense and I’m looking to tag Mahomes with JuJu. At $6,000, JJSS is seeing more of a target share of late and doing work with it racking up over 100 yards receiving in two of his last three games and hauling in 10 receptions last week. Run it Back: RB Travis Etienne  

The Jacksonville backfield belongs to Etienne these days with the exit of James Robinson and it’s shown with 15, 27, and 30 touches for Etienne over the last three games. Etienne will be leaned on again whether it’s early on to keep Mahomes off the field on the ground or late in the game to play catch-up when the Jags are behind.

Chicago Bears  (vs. Detroit Lions)

QB Justin Fields, WR Darnell Mooney The Bears’ offense was complete shit early on but it looks as if this group has turned a corner mainly because of the development of Justin Fields. Tagging Darnell Mooney ($5,500) with him allows for an affordable stack against one of the worst pass defenses in football. Mooney has posted double-digit fantasy points in three of his last four and scored his first touchdown last week. Run it Back: WR Amon-Ra St. Brown The Lions’ top receiving target, especially with T.J. Hockenson shipped out of town, St. Brown finds himself in a promising matchup against a bad Bears secondary. St. Brown has seen nine and 10 targets over the last two weeks.
