NHL DFS – The Slapshot
The Devils are the only team on B2B tonight, but really nothing bothers me in that regard with them.
This is an awesome NHL DFS slate. One of the best of the year in my mind, either that or the afternoon beers on 67 degree Tuesday here in Virginia are talking to me…

MAPLE LEAFS
Tavares – Marner – Janrkrok – Rielly
John Tavares is scoring tonight and he is easily my favorite play on the entire slate. The Kraken play much higher scoring games on the road, are giving up goals left and right to centers and JT is gonna score two tonight.
RANGERS
Trocheck – Panarin – Kravtsov – Fox
I would be foolish to not try and keep the streak going against the Canadiens tonight. That streak? Well the one where they have given up 7, 9 and 6 goals over their last three. Things are bad, things are really bad.
DEVILS
Hischier – Tatar – Bratt
Even on a B2B the Devils at home vs the Blues is a very optimal spot today. I like Tatar and Bratt to factor into the scoring today.
AVALANCHE
Compher – Malgin – Newhook
The top line for the Avs and their strong defense should create enough havoc on the Canucks tonight that I see the second (or even third… Logan O’Connor????) doing the scoring on the road for Colorado. Cheaper and easier to fit than Nate and Mikko and just as likely to generate scoring chances against a weak team.
CENTERS
John Tavares … JT has a higher xGoals per 60 than Matthews believe it or not. Kraken play fast on the road and this should create a great scoring chance for him tonight. Plus the Kraken remain weak on the PK which is a bad formula vs Toronto
- Mika Zibanejad / Vincent Trocheck … Pick your line with the Rangers, getting Tro + Bread is not a bad play on the road here.

- Nico Hischier
- David Krejci
WINGS
Jesper Bratt … The Blues are bottom third across the board vs RW on the season. The Blues just suck in general so really what am I supposed to say here. B2B doesn’t bother me.
- Davis Pastrnak … Keep an eye on the lines. The Bruins will be without Jake deBrusk which could elevate Pastrnak back up to the top line making BOS1 a formidable late night hammer stack.
- Mitchell Marner … Should be around 7k, not 6200.
- Chris Kreider / Artemi Panarin
- Andrei Svechnikov … Another winger that is underpriced compared to what his upside is
- Travis Konecny
DEFENSE
Adam Fox … Fox is a must own for me. If the Rangers are scoring in bunches then he is coming away with a 15+ point night.
- Devon Toews
- Shayne Gostisbehere … Yes, I am being that guy writing up the most obvious “revenge” play in the world. He’s definitely scoring or taking a penalty that gives the Flyers a goal. Probably both.
- Vince Dunn
- Morgan Rielly
- Ivan Provorov
Value Defense:
- Ryan McDonagh … Could be a long night trying to block shots
- Damon Severson
- Derek Forbot
VALUE
TJ Oshie … Not being a homer (yes, I am), he is scoring a PP goal tonight on a rebound from the left side of the goalie with 13:27 remaining in the first period (*homer*).

Most reliable options tonight
- Carter Hart … The Coyotes on the road are bad and Philly is consistent about letting opponents get enough SOG against. I like his price and upside slightly more than Darcy.
- Darcy Kuemper … Had a rough game last time out vs the Sabres but that was more the Caps struggling with Buffalo than anything else. This is a nice bounce back spot for Darcy
- MacKenzie Blackwood
Goalies who need to stand on their heads but could stop 35+ shots with risk
