The Slapshot – Jan 17th

NHL DFS – The Slapshot

A lot of teams on B2B tonight and a good amount are playing 3 in 4 nights.  The list includes Flyers, Sabres, Red Wings, Coyotes, Kraken, Capitals, Panthers, Habs, Preds and Blue Jackets all playing 3 in 4 nights.

Ducks vs Flyers

A cold beer in a frosted mug, an up hill birdie putt, an attractive Brunette on a nice Spring day and Taysom Hill running QB Power.  That’s the category that I think reading ‘Ducks vs Flyers’ on a Tuesday night has to me.  Philly wants to play choppy and set the zone a good amount, the Ducks just want to skate and have fun.  This one has 7 goals in it tonight and if Adam Henrique isn’t one of them I would be shocked.

Prefer the Ducks side for price and upside.

  • ANA:  McTavish, Henrique, Terry
  • PHI:  Frost, Tippett, JVR, DeAngelo

Oilers

Through two meetings these teams have combined for 16 goals this year and I would give the advantage to the home Oilers tonight

  • McDavid – Draisaitl – Hyman – Barrie

Sabres vs Hawks

Two bad PK’s right now between these two teams.

  • BUF:  Thompson – Tuch
  • CHI:  Domi – Kane – Jones

Predators

A lot of value here with Glass and Duchene

  • Glass – Forsberg – Duchene

CENTERS

  1. Connor McDavid / Leon Draisaitl … Draisaitl does save you money as a one off, so he gets the nod as a one off pick.
  2. Tage Thompson
  3. Mason McTavish
  4. Max Domi
  5. Cody Glass

WINGS

  1. Patrick Kane
  2. Adam Henrique
  3. Owen Tippett
  4. Filip Forsberg / Matt Duchene … It’s Forsberg Tuesday, but Duchene is a better pick tonight for matchup vs Columbus
  5. Blake Wheeler
  6. William Nylander
  7. James van Riemsdyk

DEFENSE

  1. Tyson Barrie
  2. Tony DeAngelo
  3. Shayne Gostisbehere
  4. Seth Jones
  5. Justin Schultz

VALUE

  1. Cody Glass
  2. JJ Peterka
  3. Cole Perfetti
  4. Tyler Bertuzzi

Connor Ingram … While Arizona is not a great defensive team they have been better at limiting the top line production when at home and most of the time they give up goals to LW.  Well, Detroit’s only real threat is their top line and unless you think Tyler Bertuzzi nets one on the third line tonight or PP I don’t see Detroit putting up a ton of pressure here.  The SOG should be good, and GA risk is low IMO.

Also can consider

  • Matt Murray – Leafs
  • Filip Gustavsson – Wild
