The Slapshot – Jan 21st

NHL DFS – The Slapshot

Lots of games, few back to backs (Colorad/Vancouver) and plenty of teams in good spots.

LA Kings

Could be my favorite spot tonight.  Yep, I think it is.  The Preds give up plenty of shots and rely on solid goal tending, but for a cheap top line like the Kings have, the SOG bonuses and a couple goals is going to win a GPP tonight.

  • Anze Kopitar, Kevin Fiala, Adrian Kempe

Columbus Blue Jackets

Well, here we go again?  The Blue Jackets were a preatty big chalk flop on a big Thursday night slate, so lets go right back to them as they get the second straight game vs the dumpster fire from California tonight with the Sharks coming into town.  Really don’t need to state the obvious here, but lets just get it out of the way.   Johnny or Laine have to score, right?

  • Roslovic, Laine, Gaudreau

Edmonton Oilers

One of the few teams who played last night was Vancouver and while they are at home, it’s still a B2B against a really good Oilers offense obviously.  Go contrarian with the second line here though.

  • Nugent-Hopkins, Hyman or Draisaitl naked

Blackhawks vs Blues

Patrick Kane should get right tonight with a goal, maybe an assist as well.  But it’s St. Louis who offers the better full stack options.

  • Robert Thomas, Brandon Saad, Jordan Kyrou, Justin Faulk
  • Patrick Kane

CENTERS

  1. Leon Draisaitl … Technically skating as RW, where he should carve up Vancouver.  All total McDavid and Drai have both averaged over 18 FPPG in their last 15 combined with Vancouver.
  2. Auston Matthews … There is nothing wrong with Tavares who is cheaper here as well
  3. Anze Kopitar … Cannot play Kopitar naked, so he is not higher because of that, but this is my favorite full line stack today.
  4. Robert Thomas
  5. Mark Scheifele

WINGS

  1. Patrik Laine & Johnny Gaudreau … Talk about due.   If he can’t bounce back vs the Sharks, then hang them up.   Johnny ok too
  2. Adrian Kempe & Kevin Fiala
  3. Zach Hyman
  4. Brandon Saad

ONE OFFS WINGS

  1. Kyle Connor
  2. Patrik Kane
  3. Viktor Arvidsson
  4. Matt Duchene

DEFENSE

  1. Justin Faulk
  2. Devon Toews
  3. Tyson Barrie
  4. Roman Josi
  5. Ivan Provorov

VALUE

  1. All the Blues …
  2. Tom Wilson
  3. Seth Jarvis
  4. Jordan Eberle

  1. Carter Hart … Detroit comes back home after a west coast trip, while the Flyers turn to Hart who has been their best player really of late.  When Flyers win he is on and I like the Flyers to win tonight.
  2. Logan Thompason … Vegas is really struggling but finishes off a long homestand with the Caps in town after Washington had a “break” in Vegas….
  3. Joonas Korpisalo … Value
