NHL DFS – The Slapshot

There’s a lot of one off studs in good spots tonight but not necessarily load up on the full pay up line stacks. So I took the approach of looking at finding a balanced/value line stack to correlate with one off skaters.

ST LOUIS BLUES

Thomas – Kyrou – Faulk

St. Louis gets a Buffalo team off a B2B and a VERY high tempo game last night in Dallas where Buffalo probably should have given up 6 goals.

Tonight Buffalo turns back to Luukkonen in goal but probably won’t help him defensively much better. Buffalo is a shaky team on the road with not as much depth as the Blues have here. St. Louis will score 5 tonight.

CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS

Domi – Toews – Kane – Jones

Do the Canucks even show up the rest of the season? Heck, they really didn’t show up much to this point, but all the mess surrounding their coaching drama probably won’t translate very well here tonight. I just hate that it’s the choppy Blackhawks who are really boom or bust coming in. Focus on the Big Blackhawks PP tonight.

DETROIT RED WINGS

Larkin – Kubalik – Raymond

Detroit is coming off a near shutout loss to the Flyers after a win in Vegas and now gets to bounce back vs the lowly Sharks who as we all know are a near automatic consider going against every time they are on a DFS slate. How’s that for a long run on sentence to justify using the pathetic Wings? You gotta be silly not to look at using some Detroit tonight though — otherwise I’ll just assume you are using James Reimer in goal.

CENTERS

Trevor Zegras … Absolutely love Zegras tonight, just don’t love enough of the rest of the Ducks on his line.

Max Domi / Jonathan Toews … Gut says Toews has a good game tonight, Domi on full strength line with Kane

WINGS

David Pastrnak … Exhibit A among the studs in great spots tonight. RW on the road vs the Habs.
Jordan Kyrou … Kyrou should continue the trend of RW scoring against Buffalo. Can he get two? Probably, but if you believe in that then you better be damn sure to have Robert Thomas correlated with him.

Filip Forsberg … Tuesday. Tacos. Forsberg. Due for hatty.
Clayton Keller
Troy Terry
Dominik Kubalik
Viktor Arvidsson … Very tricky game but Arvidsson in Philly is a hidden cheat code. Last four games vs the Flyers he has 6 goals and 20 SOG. Maybe he’s a Cowboys fan or something?

DEFENSE

Very much a crap shoot tonight on defense.

Seth Jones … Jones either pops off for a big game or just has a quiet 3 points it seems. Good PP spot for the Blackhawks though and he gets all the time with that top unit.
Jakob Chychrun … For the DvP crowd he has had the bigger games vs the Ducks than Ghost.

Tristian Jarry … He should win tonight and is at home where he has averaged 17+ FPPG. The Panthers are on a B2B on the road which helps here too and I expect 30+ SOG for them.

Petr Mrazek … Let’s see how the Canucks respond, eh? If you wan’t value, 7k for Mrazek is not the worst idea in the world.

Alexandar Georgiev … The Caps continue to be a little banged up and tired IMO. They just don’t have enough speed to threaten Colorado and are unlikely to do a ton of damage. Expect a lower scoring game but also a lower SOG upside.
