Ah yes, the day when we are all NHL DFS experts, aren’t we? Welcome in the MME crowd into Hockey, which just fucking sucks if you ask me because all those NBA only people are going to go back to their guys resting 33% of the time and playing zero f’n defense in a couple of days while we watch a real pro sport.
Enough for my annual rant. Here’s the 411 tonight.
- Nine games
- Two teams on B2B, both of which are playing road-road B2B (Flyers, Ducks)
- The Flyers are playing their 3rd in 4 nights
- So too are the Devils, Predators, Maple Leafs and Blues

Tampa Bay Lightning
Point – Kucherov, Colton or Maroon
The Bolts should be among the more popular spots tonight. Anaheim over their last five games has given up 59-39-44-41-55 SOG against. They don’t have the depth to hang with teams, especially good ones like Tampa Bay.
So the real question here is will the Bolts have that break out game that I mentioned last week was coming (specifically Kucherov), or do they suffer the fate of an east coast team having a sleepy game in their first home game after a west coast trip?
I personally think they had their ‘let down’ spot on the road in Arizona and with 2 days off since their last game out in Vegas they will do what everyone expects and drop 5 tonight on the Ducks. Don’t sleep on the third or fourth line doing what the Panthers did yesterday as well here.
Toronto Maple Leafs
O’Reilly – Tavares – Marner – Mo Reilly
If they weren’t playing 3 in 4 I would have them the top stack tonight. They win and the Reilly, O’Reilly, Auto Parts jingle will be loud.
Carolina Hurricanes
Aho – Svechnikov – Jarvis
Speaking of teams without much firepower, the Blues look like they’ll be a favorable team to roster wingers against down the stretch.
I hate stacking Carolina due to them spreading things out, but Seth Jarvis on the top line and PP2 should be a great one off at $4,400 if you don’t go full stack here.
Other Good Spots
New Jersey Devils
Hischier – Tatar – Hamilton … Yes, Hughes is back, but it’s Tatar who scores with an assist from Nico
Kings at Wild
Kings PP is on fire right now, Wild PK is strong though. I can see this being a nice little game stack with Kopitar-Kempe vs Hartman-Kaprizov-Spurgeon being the game stack build.

CENTERS
- Brayden Point
- Nico Hischier
- Ryan O’Reilly
- Sebastian Aho
- Anze Kopitar
- J.T. Miller
- Trevor Zegras
WINGS
- Nikita Kucherov … Hatty Kuch, Hatty Kuch, Tampa Man … Fade him today and it’ll cost you a grand.
- Seth Jarvis
- John Tavares
- Tomas Tatar
- Brandon Hagel … Any of the value wingers on the Bolts tonight are worth darts, but I wouldn’t dare play Hagel naked.
- Patty Kane … Still cheap but on fire right now. He isn’t necessarily shooting more but he sure is finding the twine with 5 goals over his last two games.
- Reilly Smith … Similar price as Kane, better team around him to set him up though.
DEFENSE
- Morgan Reilly
- Jared Spurgeon
- Ivan Provorov
- Filip Hronek
- Shea Theodore
- Mikahil Sergachev
VALUE
- Nicholas Paul, Ross Colton, Pat Maroon
- Nino Neiderreiter
- Mattias Janmark
- Jakub Vrana … Vrana is BACK and he gets to face his old team… Should end well

My favorite options
Petr Mrazek (Blackhawks) … Won’t cost you a ton and the Knights will provide him with the SOG floor that could offset allowing 3 goals while also having some tournament upside.
Ilya Samsonov (Maple Leafs)
Also consider
- Ville Husso – Not sure where caps get offense from right now, but I’m also not sure where they get 30+ shots from either.
- Juuse Saros
