CBB DFS: The ONIONS – March 11th

One more sleep until Selection Sunday!

Tulane vs Memphis

This is the ‘late’ game hammer on the early slate.  Tulane’s one of my darling teams assuming they can get past Memphis, which I believe they will today.

Cook, Forbes, Cross, James are going to play 36+ minutes each, getting two of them won’t kill you in my mind although three of them are certainly priced appropriately, which  makes Sion James (in a good DvP matchup too) the likely guy to lock in on here.

One thing is for certain, we should see a ton of rebound opportunities in this game and that’ll make DeAndre Williams an Onions level play but Chandler Lawson at 4k is probably gonna hit value here too

Tulane

  • Sion James, Kevin Cross, Jalen Cook

Memphis

  • DeAndre Williams, Kendric Davis
  • Value:  Chandler Lawson, Elijah McCadden

Missouri vs Alabama

I’m not sure what people are watching, I know Alabama is on a roll but Memphis shouldn’t be a 9 point dog here.  Love the Tigers to cover, not sure I love the game in DFS compared to Tulane/Memphis but we do like the prices still on some Tigers

Mizzou:

  • DeAndre Gholston … Free square once again at $5,000.  The DK algo is just off
  • Noah Carter

Bama:

  • Jahvon Quinerly … Showing out once again in tournament play

GuardsMemphis' Davis, Tulane's Forbes, UCF's Hendricks Earn Weekly Honors - American Athletic Conference

Kendric Davis – Memphis – 9200 … If you beat Tulane you will do it with the 3 ball being involved.  Davis leads the Tigers with over 5 three attempts per game

Sion James – Tulane – 6600

Jahvon Quinerly – Bama – 5800

Guard/Flex Options …

  • DeAndre Gholston – Mizzou – 5000
  • Tyrin Lawrence – Vanderbilt – 6900
  • Tyrece Radford – A&M – 7400
  • Seth Lundy – PSU – 7300
  • Elijah McCadden – Memphis – 5500

ForwardsIU basketball: How NIL may affect Trayce Jackson-Davis NBA draft move

There are four big names up top on this early slate, Williams, TJD, Edey and Miller.  Williams has the best game, but most options around him to limit his ceiling.  We know TJD is going to hit 45 fantasy points and should tear up Penn State, so he’s the one to consider as a one off, but not ideal pairing with the Tulane/Memphis game stack.

Trayce Jackson-Davis – Indiana – 10.9k … The CORE build with TJD as your centerpierce would be to pair him with Sion James/Elijah McCadden/Chandler Lawson from Memphis/Tulane and then Gholston/Quinerly from the Mizzou/Bama game.

Kevin Cross – Tulane – 8400

DeAndre Williams – Memphis – 9100

Noah Carter – Mizzou – 6300

Forward/Flex Options …

  • Henry Coleman – Texas A&M
  • J’Wan Roberts – Houston
  • Jordan Wright – Vanderbilt

PUNT VALUE OPTIONS

  1. Chandler Lawson – Memphis – 4000
  2. Sean McNeil – Ohio St – 4500
  3. Mason Gillis – Purdue – 3700 … Huge game yesterday, and if they get pressed again (they should) then maybe we can luck box into it again.
