The Slapshot – March 2nd

Back to back teams tonight

  • NY Rangers
  • Dallas
  • Toronto

New York Rangers

Vincent Trocheck, Patrick Kane, Artemi Panarin

Don’t sleep on the bread man tonight even though Kane is the new shiny toy on this line.  The NYR being on B2B doesn’t bother me and I don’t mind their second line here at home.

Tampa Bay Lightning

Point, Kucherov, Hagel

Pittsburgh’s defense has been atrocious and Tampa on home ice feels long over due for a TB1 3+ goal game.

Seattle Kraken

Beniers, Eberle, McCann

Sneaky spot tonight, as I believe Detroit’s little good run is coming to an end

Other one off spots

Three teams who stand out to me as one offs, the Wild, the Stars and the Panthers

CENTERS

  1. Vincent Trocheck
  2. Brayden Point
  3. Matty Beniers
  4. Joel Eriksson Ek
  5. Tyler Seguin

WINGS

  1. Artemi Panarin
  2. Sam Reinhart … Value savings over Tkachuk, that’s the main play here.  The Wings on the Panthers should continue to do their heavy lifting and Nashville is a great matchup for that.
  3. Brendan Hagel
  4. Jordan Eberle
  5. Matt Boldy
  6. Jason Robertson
  7. Kevin Fiala

DEFENSE

  1. Miro Heiskanen
  2. Mike Matheson
  3. Vince Dunn
  4. Owen Power
  5. Aaron Ekblad
  6. Jake Walman

VALUE

  1. Alexander Barabanov
  2. Evgenii Dadanov
  3. Marcus Johansson

Marc-Andre Fleury (Wild)

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (Buffalo) … Picking on a good east coast team returning home after a west coast trip.  Theory has done well this season.
