9:30 am Update: Well, looks like I hadn’t hit save on my late edits before the article auto-published, so if you read this before 9:30 then you probably saw just some names without full context. I apologize for that, but not much has changed other than me adding in some information here.
WEATHER
There is obviously some bad weather if you are in the Mid-Atlantic region today, rain and wind, but nothing that is really going to impact most of the games in DFS land, so I am not overly worried about that here.
- Miami (FL) at Temple – This one is going to feel the brunt of everything. If you want an under on a game with a low total already, this is music to your psychotic college betting ears.
- BYU at Kansas – Could get windy here. Slight downgrade on a team I love today. Just slight.
FLORIDA STATE vs CLEMSON
There’s a ton of hype for the 3:30 PM window of games this week – but look here for a nice ACC battle with two teams that didn’t exactly light it up in their last outing.

BYU vs KANSAS
Rock. Chalk. Jayhawk. The Jayhawks at home will be able to get the air game going well vs BY today and I trust Slovis for BYU to put up enough offensive effort to keep Kansas looking to score throughout the whole game.

COLORADO at OREGON
Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that this will be a popular game in all aspects today. But guess what. Colorado is going to get run over and when they do get some offensive production you’re going to be begging for a ton more from a $9500 Shedeur Sanders and a $7300 Jimmy Horn or $7200 Xavier Weaver. There’s one play in this game and no, it isn’t Bo Nix. Welcome to the Bucky Irving show folks. Take him and move on.

Expectation is that UTAH Quarterback Cameron Rising will make his debut today versus UCLA. It really doesn’t matter though because Nate Johnson’s price went up appropriately so there’s no easy button value at QB today anywhere.
CORE OPTIONS
- Chandler Morris – TCU – $7800 … We are most definitely going back to this well my friends. Morris had a get right spot against Houston throwing for 300+ yards and 2 touchdowns. He’ll add back in his rushing upside today which isn’t a ton, but it’s enough and TCU is going to look like a good machine today.
- Jack Plummer – Louisville – $7500 … I’m not loving the pay up at QB option this week, although Bo Nix most certainly can break the slate himself — but we got another lock and load play in that game. So we’re gonna pivot down to the mid range options with Plummer at home against a bad Boston College defense today.

CORE OPTIONS
We have a very strong core set of options for RB today, making it a good slate to prioritize having 3 RB in your lineup(s) and maybe even stretching it to a fourth given the nice value.
- Bucky Irving – Oregon – $7500 … This could wind up being one of my favorite lock button smash spots of the season. I see Oregon rolling through Colorado offensively with Bucky Irving scoring twice and the debate on the third will be if he or Whittington gets it. Colorado’s rush defense is going to get tested on the road here.
- Rasheen Ali – Marshall – $6000 … Seems too cheap for Ali against a bad VT defense in a sneaky ‘rivalry’ game. He’s gotten 18 carries in each of the first two weeks and that volume likely goes up today.
- Will Shipley – Clemson – $5700 … The amount of love I have for Clemson in what feels like an easy back them spot is scary. Shipley is good, they need to feed him for 60 minutes.

After the strong WR slate last week I won’t be pushing more than the standard 3 WR on DraftKings today. It’s kinda thin on this MAIN slate.
CORE OPTIONS
- Jamari Thrash – Louisville – $6600 … Continued to go off last week and now gets another decent spot against Boston College who is coming off their near upset vs Florida State and should not be able to slow down Louisville.
- Jeshaun Jones – Maryland – $6500 … Jones saw 8 targets in their lst game and the Michigan State passing defense hasn’t shown much signs of being improved in 2023.
- Keon Coleman – Florida State – $6700 … I STRONGLY believe we get a high scoring game here & I don’t think Florida State is going to get the ground game to produce. This means it has to be Travis/Wilson/Coleman who get the work done. Coleman is $100 more than Wilson but the better receiver for a full 60 mins
- Quentin Skinner – Kansas – $5100 … Love Kansas today, love their passing game. Skinner’s had 4 catches tops in two of their first three games and hasn’t found paydirt. That changes today.
