Below I’ll break down the particular stacks I’m interested and delve into it based on matchup, ability, predicted game script, and collective salary while picking an opposing player or two to run that stack back with if appropriate.*Note: All pricing is DraftKings focused
Philadephia Eagles at Washington Commanders
QB Jalen Hurts, WR A.J. Brown, TE Dallas Goedert
Hardly anyone will roster Jalen Hurts this week which is part of why I like him so much in this spot. Hurts performed well against the overachieving (in my opinion) Commanders defense and is due for another massive effort. A.J. Brown has been one of the hottest receivers in the league and in this matchup earlier this season had nine receptions for 175 yards on 13 targets while scoring twice. If looking for a full upsdie stack consider Dallas Goedert. Goedert ($4,600) is incredibly affordable and has five-plus receptions in each of his last three games with two touchdowns over that span.
Run it Back: WR Terry McLaurin
In nine games TML has 53 receptions for 784 yards and three touchdowns. McLaurin in one of the best values on the slate in my opinion but still isn’t expected to be heavily owned. TML has seen nine or more targets in three of his last four games and has at least six receptions in those games.
New Orleans Saints at Indianapolis Colts
QB Derek Carr, RB Alvin Kamara, WR Chris Olave
It’s been no secret that Derek Carr has loved getting the ball to Alvin Kamara in the passing game. I don’t see that changing in this spot against the Colts. Kamara is second in the league in rececptions by a running back and don’t forget that he missed time due to a suspension, Chris Olave has flashed this season and is clearly the number one receiver in New Orleans. The Colts secondary has been challenged all season leaving Olave in a great spot to do damage on Sunday.
Run it Back: WR Josh Downs
Despite repeated weeks of solid production and usage Downs finds himself still underprice ($4,800) in the DFS market. The Saints defense has been very good overall but one spot they’ve struggled is in the middle of the field. Downs has been operating out of the slot and in the middle of the field in general leaving him in a good spot for success in Week 8.
