Core Plays
Cincinnati Bengals: QB Joe Burrow
- Burrow has turned his season around from earlier in the year when he was still hurt. Even in the first game against this Ravens team in Week 2, Burrow threw for two touchdowns. With the Ravens beat up on defense, notably without Marlon Humphrey (he also missed Week 2) the stars are aligning for Burrow to have a strong game.
Baltimore Ravens: TE Mark Andrews
- Andrews should eat against this Bengals defense who has been one of, if not the worst defensive team against tight ends. Andrews had a modest 5/45/1 line in Week 2 in this matchup. Andrews has been a bit up and down this season but does have at least 60 receiving yards in five games and five or more receptions on four occasions. He always has touchdown upside as well scoring in four games with multiple touchdowns twice.
*NOTE: All plays above are obviously “Captain” viable
Captain Plays
WR Trenton Irwin (CIN)
- With a lot of high-priced options in play here, finding value is paramount. I’m looking to take it one step further and find value in the Captain’s seat in some spots. Using Irwin here is in a lot of ways a floor play but it’s clear that Burrow has a connection with him. Last week with Tee Higgins out, Irwin was on the field a ton and should be tonight as well. In Week 2 Higgins showed great with at 8/89/2 effort. Last week in Higgins’ a sense Irwin had a 2/54/1 line on 4 targets. In Week 4 Irwin has an 8/60 line on 10 targets, again in Higgins’ absence.
Others to consider:
- QB Lamar Jackson (BAL)
- WR Ja’Marr Chase (CIN)
Flex Plays
Baltimore Ravens: RB Keaton Mitchell
- If Mitchell doesn’t see at least 10 touches in this game then you really have to scratch your head. Gus Edwards has been very effieicient in his touches but there’s no denying how explosive Mitchell is with the ball in his hands. He’s scored each of the last two weeks highlighted by his effort two weeks ago in which Mitchell recorded 138 rushing yards and a touchdown on 9 carries. Last week Mitchell amassed over 60 scrimmage yards on four touches, highlighted by a 32 yard reception.
Others to consider:
- WR Odell Beckham Jr. (BAL)
- WR Zay Flowers (BAL)
- RB Gus Edwards (BAL)
- WR Tyler Boyd (CIN)
- TE Tanner Hudson (CIN)
- K Justin Tucker (BAL)
GOOD LUCK!
