NFL DFS: Black Friday Showdown – Week 12 – Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets

Core Plays

New York Jets: RB Breece Hall

Jets' Robert Saleh says Breece Hall no longer has pitch count

  • The only chance that the Jets will have in this game is if Hall makes some big plays and the Jets control the game through him. Hall has at least 15 touches in each of his last six games. In this contest I would love to see that number approach 20 between carries and receptions. At $7,600 he’s very affordable as far as showdown slates go and he’ll be vital in making this a contest.

Miami Dolphins: RB Raheem Mostert

  • A lot of this depends on whether Devon Achane is out of not, and it looks like he is. The Jets run defense can be had allowing 137.6 rushing yards per game. The Dolphins strength on offense has been running the ball early this season and Mostert has been a volume guy for the most part. Last week Mostert has 22 carries and he could approach the 20’s again, especially if Achane’s out.

*NOTE: All plays above are obviously “Captain” viable

Captain Plays

QB  Tua Tagovailoa (MIA)

  • As good as the Jets’ pass defense is, they have to be wearing down back there and they are starting to deal with injuries. Michael Carter will be out thinning up their strong defenseive back stable and the big play ability of the Dolphins through the air doesn’t make things easier. Tua has thrown the ball 34 or more times in each of his last three games and if the Jets offense can’t consistently move the ball (likely) that’ll put the defense on the field for an extended period of time. The floor is there with Tua and the ceiling is always high as he’s eclipsed 300 passing yards on five occasions this season.

Others to consider:

  • QB Tyreek Hill (MIA)
  • D/ST Dolphins

Flex Plays

Miami Dolphins: WR Jaylen Waddle

  • Waddle has seen 12, six, and eight targets in his last three games and is a big play waiting to happen, kind of like a “Tyreek Hill light”. Waddle’s yards per reception over the last three weeks have sat at 14, 14, and 17 despite not putting up massive yardage totals. Waddle’s upside is always immense despite a good Jets secondary.

Others to consider:

  • TE Tyler Conklin (NYJ)
  • WR Allen Lazard (NYJ)
  • WR Cedric Wilson (MIA)
  • TE Durham Smythe (MIA)
  • RB Jeff Wilson (MIA)
  • RB Israel Abanikanda (NYJ)

GOOD LUCK!
