CBB DFS: The ONIONS – March 2nd

March is finally here, and so too comes all the College Basketball Experts!  I haven’t had the same CBB DFS year this year as the past few years, and mostly because the contest pool hasn’t enticed me enough nights during the week, but I expect a strong March and the betting to continue to be solid this time of year.

I’ve also applied a different approach to breaking down the slates, so I expect a solid return today.  LFG.

Early Window (12PM) Games:

  • Florida at South Carolina:  This is a no doubt Cocks win
  • Florida State at Georgia Tech:  Could be a snooze fest start but eventually this game should push up close to that 148/150 total range if GT can shoot.  Lean on the under early and then try for a middle on this one if it starts slow.  GT should win.
  • Butler at DePaul:   This is one of the better game stack spots.  DePaul has a ton of value and Any DFS lineup anchored around 2 guys against DePaul is always a strong build.  Posh Alexander, Jahmyl Telfort, DJ Davis the best value on Butler.  KT Raimey and Elijah Fisher for DePaul
  • Villanova at Providence:  U-G-L-Y.

Mid Window (1PM) Games:

  • Illinois at Wisconsin:  Not touching this one
  • Kansas at Baylor:  Ditto here for DFS, but love Kansas off a loss to cover.  Maybe not win though.  That said, if Baylor runs them out of the building then you can pencil in Kansas for a Final 4 spot.  Trust me here.
  • Arkansas at Kentucky:  Good DFS spot, if you can trust anything on Arkansas

Backend Window (2PM) Games:

  • Oklahoma State at Texas:  I like Abmas a good amount.
  • Oregon at Arizona:  Arizona should cruise here, making it a viable spot
  • Marquette at Creighton:  Best game on the day for viewing purposes.
  • Penn State at Minnesota:  Gophers
  • LSU at Vanderbilt:   LSU is a bad afternoon road team, don’t sleep on Vandy for DFS

GUARDS

  1. Posh Alexander – 7000 – Butler … Posh went off for 46 fantasy points in a home game against DePaul in late January.  While I don’t see DePaul staying very close, I do think they’ll be more competitive and the minutes will still be there for him to mirror that production.
  2. Tyrin Lawrence – 6200 – Vandy … Lawrence is better at home than Manjon.  Vandy wins
  3. KT Raimey – 4900 – DePaul … A little value here.  He will attempt a ton of 3’s and Butler is a favorable matchup in that regard.

Also Consider:  DJ Davis (Butler), Rob Dillingham (Kentucky), Max Abmas (Texas)

FORWARDS

  1. Dawson Garcia – 7700 – Minnesota … It feels like every Penn State game of late I am on goes over, so lets ride on this one today.  Garcia’s gonna EAT versus the Lions.  Expect a 30 point floor.
  2. Makhi Mitchell – 6200 – Arkansas … He has to get to the FT line, which he did in the prior Kentucky meeting.  There’s a good amount of chaos with Arkansas, but Mitchell is a guy with a high ceiling.
  3. Jahmyl Telfort – 7000 – Butler

Also Consider:  Kwame Evans (ORE), Oumar Ballo (Zona)
