What stands out to me on this slate
- Baylor at Utah: I know Baylor is not what they once were considered but this feels like a big time statement game for Utah.
- Kansas State at Tulane: This game is an early (11am) start like a couple others, but sure does have a 90 point feel to it.
- Arkansas at Oklahoma State: Love this game.
- Pitt at Cincinnati: This game has the second highest total of 62.5 and no it’s not gonna be Pickett vs Ridder, although it would be hilarious if the NFL just sent them back to college to get out of the NFL.
ARKANSAS at OKLAHOMA STATE
What if I told you Oklahoma State was the play of the day and it did not involve Ollie Gordon as a must play? I’m very much in love with the passing game for the Cowboys, led by Presley and Owens getting the bulk of the work while folks chase Stribling’s week 1 performance. Bowman becomes the easy correlation play for a full Cowboy stack and then some form of Taylen Green (QB – 7500), Andrew Armstrong (WR – 6400) or JaQuinden Jackson (RB – 5200) from the Razorbacks.

GEORGIA TECH vs SYRACUSE
Both teams have a game (GT has 2 obviously) under their belts which is a good thing for the offenses to get a little rust off and now we can get a nice “Carrier Dome” shootout. Sure, it’s not called that anymore, but you know what I mean. Major price fix by DraftKings converting LeQuint Allen to $7k but Oronde Gadsen is still a good PPR value at $5000. My favorite spot here though as I fade Gordon at RB (mentioned above), is Jamal Haynes RB for Georgia Tech.

Loved the QB spot last week and it was just kinda blah. This week it looks kinda blah, so who knows what we really get here and really I have one main QB play this week, which should be obvious based upon the game breakdowns I like above.
ALAN BOWMAN – Oklahoma State – $8400
There’s some rushing upside options out there for sure – but you don’t just half go in when you are going big on something and my Ollie Gordon fade for the OKST passing game means that we expect 3+ TD from Bowman and a ton of yards.

These are who I would rank as the best next 3 on the list to consider pairing in a 2 QB lineup
- Payton Thorne – Auburn – $7800 … Can be used here as an island play. Auburn could easily drop 50 today or just go back to being f’n typical Auburn and look like dog shit. It all hinges on Thorne.
- Taylen Green – Arkansas – $7500 … Mostly in a game stack with Bowman
- Eli Holstein – Pittsburgh – $6500 … Once again a good value
I am already going to be fading the popular Gordon who is at home, so lets just go full stupid with rolling out nothing but road RB’s this week, shall we? A method I don’t normally endorse but it’s a really tempting proposition with the pricing on the mid range guys and the match-ups being a positive combination for success.
DJ GIDDENS – Kansas State – $6600
I hyped up Giddens late last season and he accelerated through the finish of the year. Now, the main back for the Wildcats and a game when Kansas State should get a ton of possessions vs the Tulane defense — it’s not as good this year — lets f’n go.
DESMOND REID – Pittsburgh – $5900
A transfer into Pitt, Reid led the way with 14 carries in week one and now gets a Cincinnati rush defense that just fell off the face of the earth in 2023 & didn’t look much improved in week 1 vs lowly Towson. Both teams have a slight look ahead here, so who knows how much that factors in but one thing you can always count on is a ground game vs a bad rush/D-Line and that’s what we have here. He should get 10+ carries and has potential to break one for a big touchdown.
SECOND TIER
- JAMAL HAYNES – Georgia Tech – $6900
- LEQUINT ALLEN – Syracuse – $7000
- MICAH BERNARD – Utah – $5800
RASHOD OWENS – Oklahoma State – $5400
Fellow WR Brennan Presley is the other option here, but it’s all the air game for many reasons. Leverage yes, but match-up is the real reason and I think he torches the Arkansas defense on the outside for a 2… Nah, fuck it, 3 TD game.
DORIAN SINGER – UTAH – $6100
Gotta get the chemistry rolling here more. Singer is too good and should be more than 6100. Rising only threw 15 times last week, so we should see a boost up to 20+ passing attempts which equates to Singer seeing more volume here. I think he flys under the radar as folks look at week 1 data too much.
XZAVIER HENDERSON – Cincinnati – $6500
Ifi this game is gonna shootout then Cincy is likely to get a big game from Henderson or a value play in Joe Royer (TE).
