WEEK 12 GAME THOUGHTS
Eagles at Cowboys … If there was a dictionary entry for smells like it will get there, will feel like it will get there, and ultimately it will partially get there, it’s this game. Smith or Brown go off, Hurts might shine, Barkley gets 2, Goedert scores, or Dotson random. I can see any of that coming from Philly, but in the end, you won’t see Philly hang 40 points. For the Cowboys, Dak has always had success in the NFC East regular season games & he has to carry Dallas if they want to thrive offensively today. Dak naked is a play. Hurts naked is a play. Ultimately, this game has 1 if not 2 core plays you need today. Good luck figuring out the randomness of it though. And yes, it’s random in this type of divisional game.
Colts at Chiefs: Give me one good reason why the Colts wont run Jonathan Taylor 30+ times today and slow this game down to protect their pass defense. Which, btw, is not as bad as the stats indicate.
Jaguars at Cardinals: It’s a trap. They suck. Avoid it.
28-3 at Saints:
The annual “Bryce Young” game last week has me feeling gun shy believe it or not this week. Like, I wasted all the QB magic there. I’ll start off with two g uys that I think are in similar boats today. Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts. I like both. Both could shine. I like Hurts more than Jackson because I lean more on this being that Derrick Henry control the flow spot for the Ravens and dont risk Lamar too much. Hurts is all about how you want to stack the Eagles — who I believe are at risk of an upset loss today just because they look so obvious. It’s Hurts & Brown & Smith going off, or it’s Barkley who does it all for them. Alas, I am skipping both Hurts & Lamar — have fun with that.
JORDAN LOVE (DK: $5800, FD: $7200)
This is about 80% contingent upon Josh Jacobs not playing & I hate going against the projections model I have for a second week in a row on Quarterback, but the gut lean is the Packers will air it out without Jacobs and play throgh Love. If Jacobs is in then maybe I’m 50/50 on him vs Maye as primary QB.
DRAKE MAYE (DK: $6900, FD: $8400)
It’s my feeling that New England slides off in the second half of the season, but not so much Maye slipping off. He has Boutte back this week which gives us the club club WR core of Boutte, DD & Diggs. Sadly there is no Burrow & Chase on the other side to make this game a full shootout, but for a baseline / get me enough play, Maye is ideal.
It feels like there will be lots of paying down at RB this week and I hate that idea… Pay up for the trusted guys.
JAHMYR GIBBS (DK: $8300, FD: $9100) … The Gibbs / Montgomery debate is a neat one this week, but when Gibbs has been so samn (near MVP level) good this season and coming off that down game vs Philly, I don’t wanna miss him getting the easy 2 (or 3) TD game.
DERRICK HENRY (DK: $7600, FD: $8400) … Run, Henry, Run. Protect Lamar, give it to him over and over, get in and get out game. Oh wait, they’re home. Well, whatever. Even more reason to get it over with a TNF game lingering.
SAQUON BARKLEY (DK: $7500, FD: $9000) … Haven’t gotten him right all season and yeah, it’s been kinda a meh season after 2024. Just a hunch, that changes here this week or next. It’s not Hurts who gets it done in the TD column, its Barkley.

TreVeyon Henderson (DK: $6700, FD: $7500) … If Rhamondre sits, although it sounds like he is going to suit up.

Emmanuel Wilson (DK: $5300, FD: $6500): WHO? WHO? What are you a fucking Owl?
KAYSHON BOUTTE (DK: $5000, FD: $3800) … Walk up to that ticket window and let the fuckers know that Boutte anytime TD week is BACK.
ROMEO DOUBS (DK: $4900, FD: $6200) … Consistent with the Jordn Love game theory here, we can basically get any cheap WR with Love and build around high priced RB this week for free.
JAMESON WILLIAMS (DK: $5700, FD: $7100) … There’s a theme I have this week and it’s most definitely team stacks. The Lions are at the front of that list.
