Quick Game Thoughts for the NFL Divisional Round
Bills at Broncos: Easily the best game on the slate and it’s right out of the gate on Saturday afternoon. Tough break for football fans, although tbh this window game does usually produce some historically great games. The Broncos are going to do what you have to do versus the Bills – they’re gonna run it over and over. Expect some big plays here.
49ers at Seahawks: The Sam Darnold oblique injury is no joke. That’s a dagger for a Quarterback and to me it’s enough to flip this game. The fact that the spread is -7 still on Seattle is a gift to jump on. While I’m not huge on SF and certainly losing Kittle isn’t great – I just do not see Seattle having a legit passing attack. This game is likely going under and in that scenario, San Francisco has to cover the 7.
Texans at Patriots: You see two defenses battling it out. I see two young Quarterbacks with something to prove. Sure, it’s the lowest total on the slate, but there’s cases to be made for the other three being close and slower tempo spots. If and when Stroud is going to connect it’s going to be to Higgins for something deep, getting protection the Chargers couldn’t come up with a week ago. And when Maye is scrambling he will make plays in the passing game. The Patriots TE usage should be a problem for Houston.
Rams at Bears: Bears win. I hate it, because I just don’t see anyone but the Rams in the Super Bowl, but … Bears win. The only path where they don’t is if Caleb Williams fucks up. I’ve seen Dennis Allen a ton in my life and he does one thing really damn well. He dominates you once he has seen what you do in the first half. However, the one guy who has been able to beat him in the second half of games is Sean McVay, who also is great at halftime adjustments. This game is going to come down to Caleb having to do something late again for the Bears, but not the way it was last week where it was every drive. They’re calling for very cold and some precip here. Should be a fun one.
Very much a Quarterback doesn’t matter type slate only because Josh Allen is going to be 50% owned and I see no scenario where he is running away with the results. If he is having a 30 point game, then Bo Nix is shining just as much for $1300 less on DraftKings.

- Davante Adams (DK: $6500, FD: $7800): Lock of the week is that one touchdown from the Rams will go to a TE. The second one though is going to Davante Adams and he is more likely to have the higher catch volume here than Puka
- Khalil Shakir (DK: $5100, FD: $6500)
- Luther Burden (DK: $4700, FD: $5800)
- Jayden Higgins (DK: $4600, FD: $5900)
- DeMario Douglas (DK: $3300, FD: $5200)
Another good week to look at 2 TE, although normally that helps us get higher $ RB/WR options and I am not saying we have to do that. But this is a strong position group overall. If you have a miss here, you are dead.
- Tyler Higbee (DK: $3200, FD: $4900) / Colby Parkinson (DK: $3700, FD: $5100) : I am using Higbee. He is a lock to score. Well, the Rams TE is a lock to score, it’ll be a 2 yard touchdown pass, but it’s going to happen.
- Colston Loveland (DK: $5500, FD: $6000): Loveland and Henry (below) are definitely the most likely to have higher volume games at TE. Not much to say negative about Loveland as he is quickly the Bears go to guy right now and the WR seem to be banged up every other snap.
- Hunter Henry (DK: $4500, FD: $5500): Houston will give up some work to the TE, it’s just shameful that Pittsburgh refused to attack here last week.
