What a fantastic Friday slate we have.
While we are not treated to an afternoon Wrigley game today, this is still about as perfect of a DFS slate as one could try to dream up heading into the All-Star Break.
The Baseball card begins with a solid undercard on the Turbo slate that features Milwaukee’s lefties going into Pittsburgh in what should be a pitchers duel but I am not certain it will be. Then there’s Philly going to Detriot — which is just weird — and then the Yankees at the Nationals for a probable Nationals series sweep unless the Yankees destroy the Nats pen.
That’s great. Nice little 3 game Turbo slate. Now for the main fucking event…
Ian Happ and the Cubs are in Great American Ballpark. Long live Jason Heyward when he was on the Cubs and used to destroy the Reds here.

A 1997 World Series re-match down in Miami for #MyMarlins. Yes, we are betting the Marlins again.

Luis Castillo (SEA) pitches on a Friday night tonight. In Tampa. versus the Friday Night Rays. At home.

Another World Series re-match as the Red Sox visit the Mets in Flushing

The worst vacation ever continues as the Athletics visit the South Side and it’s a reunion as the White Sox get their pimp Munetaka Murakami back and welcome 2025 White Sox pitcher Aaron Civale back to the AL Central.

Houston shuttles up to Arlington to perform their semi-annual beat down of the Rangers in their own park

Still healthy Mike Trout. Suddenly hitting well for a little Jorge Soler. The Angels. In Minnesota. Take the over.

Chris Sale is on the bump against the Cardinals. Something tells me this isn’t going to end well for him or he has 15 strikeouts. But I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that 50% of the time I tout Austin Riley to homer in St. Louis it works 100% of the time.

Toronto is in San Diego. Toronto was off on Thursday. Toronto came from San Francisco on Wednesday. Update: This game has been PPD because the Blue Jays cannot field a team due to the entire roster being down in Tijuana still.

Arizona at L.A. and Ohtani on a Friday night. Which just makes me think of Vin Scully telling great stories to put us to sleep on a long Friday night
Only to wake back up to the adventures of ….
ROBBIE RAY AFTER DARK as the Robbie Ray experience is back for one more time before the All-Star break with the Giants hosting the Rockies again

…
…
…
Oh. Right. I missed a game.
Yeah.
You know what time of year it is ladies and gentlemen.
ROYALS AT ORIOLES

WEATHER

CHRIS SALE (DK: $10,500)
So much for me trying to have an article post on a Friday while I am busy and no news updates. Ohtani scratched to insert Sale as SP1 choice today.
ROBBIE RAY (DK: $6,800)
The price is way down on Ray because of his Robbie Ray roller coaster experiences of late. He’s seeing the Rockies a second straight week but I think the park shift is too huge to ignore and Ray’s last two home starts he has been comfortable getting plenty of ground balls over 8 innings in each start. Just take him and be sure not to feed Robbie Ray after midnight because then he’ll do his annual walk the bases loaded and then strike out the side on a 40 pitch inning.
