GERRIT COLE (DK: $9700)
Cole is going to stomp on the Blue Jays. I don’t see why he isn’t getting more love around the league. In his last 3 starts vs the White Sox, Cubs and Braves Cole has allowed 3 ER, 5 walks and 21 strikeouts over 18 2/3 IP. He’s back to the elite level and faces the fucking Jays tonight.
LANDEN ROUPP (DK: $7500)
Things have fallen off for Roupp in the second half and his confidence seems to have taken a hit as well with 12 walks in the last three games. Colorado’s not too patient at the plate though so I think he gets that confidence back by the 2nd inning tonight. Like both pitchers here & Kyle Freeland at $5.5k is easily worth a longshot play to get you a 13 possibly.
YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO (DK: $10,500)
Yamamoto’s only meh pitch is really his cutter & outside of Brice Turang the Brewers aren’t a great cutter hitting team (not many teams are though). So Yamamoto’s going to just get ahead and throw his splitter and watch the whiffs pile up. If and when these teams meet in the playoffs he is the most important player on both sides. When he is on in the playoffs, he wins it for the Dodgers.
