CFB DFS Tailgate: Sep 30th

Don’t look now but the Washington Huskies are relevant and are part of the headline game today on a five game CFB Friday Night slate. NFL DFS: TNF Showdown – Week 4

Dolphins at Bengals Both teams are coming in off wins and in the case of the Dolphins they are coming in off two very BIG wins with their road win in week 2 at the Ravens in a big come back and then last weeks home win vs divisional rival Buffalo. Cincinnati looked much better […]

The Dongers Club – Sept 28th

Alright, lets cover some content scheduling notes as we finish up the MLB season. Thursday, September 29th (Tomorrow):  No article, notes in Discord on plays and bets for early / late if any. Friday, September 30th:  Main Slate Article No more articles for the rest of the regular season which runs through Wednesday October 5th.  The last 3 days should be a dumpster fire and if anything stands out it will be touched in the Discord. The Dashboard will remain updated as it has been for all the slates throughout the regular season. Post-Season Content Post-season predictions article will come out on Thursday, October 6th with some series bets Any slate with 4+ games will have a full Dongers Club article, including Friday, October 7th and through that weekend including Sunday if necessary. Any slate with 2+ games will be covered in Discord or just a quick cheat sheet. Will do a World Series betting article much like last season. [spacer height=”10px”] WEATHER Looks like everything should get in tonight. [spacer height=”10px”] AARON NOLA The Phillies got six innings out of Wheeler last night and will need eight or more tonight from Nola.  They badly need this win with Nola on the bump against the Cubs.  I would be shocked if he doesn’t go a full 8 or even 9 innings tonight. TAIJUAN WALKER The Marlins had arguably one of their best hitting days of the entire season last night.  I’ll bank on that not happening again today. BRANDON WOODRUFF The Cards clinched the NL Central last night, look for a weaker lineup tonight from them as they rest after the win and Woodruff to cruise. [spacer height=”10px”] Athletics vs Angels This is a little bit like early April baseball and we want to find a nice warm weather environment with two middle of the road pitchers. OAK – Kemp, Machin, Murphy, Brown LAA – Trout, Ward, Ford Mariners If I bet the Mariners they do not score, so I will not bet the Mariners tonight for all of you in DFS.  They are a great value and should be able to have favorable match-ups against Martin Perez Haniger, Suarez Orioles vs Red Sox Should not be as high scoring as last night but both teams are swinging the bats very well and there’s no reason to be afraid of Kremer and Dick Mountain. BAL – Mountcastle, Hays BOS – […]

The Dongers Club – Sept 27th

WEATHER All games on the MAIN slate should play today. PHI at CHC – Very cold and very windy blowing in. [spacer height=”10px”] Patrick Sandoval The A’s have kind of become a platoon splits team but it shouldn’t matter with Sandoval likely being able to get a high strikeout game no matter who is coming up.  I project a near 30% CSW type game today from him, so he should be able to limit walks as well vs this lineup and go 6+ Robbie Ray Ray and Wheeler are the two ‘bigger’ name SP going today.  I don’t mind Carrasco for the Mets or Muller for the Braves however Ray is going to throw 100+ at home and should win with some good run support.  Wheeler is still a no as they’re trying to get him into the playoffs and ready then. Logan Webb Webb’s thrown a TON of innings this year, but it’s the Rockies on the road and for 7.2k any slowing down should still be fine. [spacer height=”10px”] Cardinals Cards hitters going into Miller Park with Adrian Houser facing them, should be a 7+ spot today. Donovan, Edman, Goldy, Arenado, Dickerson Orioles / Red Sox BAL – Rutschman, Santander, Henderson BOS – Devers, Bogaerts, Casas Mets Lindor, McNeil, Vogelbach, Canha [spacer height=”10px”] CATCHER Adley Rutschman William Contreras [spacer height=”10px”] FIRST BASE Paul Goldschmidt Daniel Vogelbach Anthony Rizzo Triston Casas [spacer height=”10px”] SECOND BASE Jeff McNeil Kolten Wong Tommy Edman [spacer height=”10px”] THIRD BASE Nolan Arenado Alex Bregman Rafael Devers [spacer height=”10px”] SHORTSTOP Dansby Swanson Francisco Lindor Gunnar Henderson Xander Bogaerts [spacer height=”10px”] OUTFIELD – Mt. PGA DFS Dew Sweeper – Sanderson Farms

Sanderson Farms Championship We move on to the Country Club of Jackson in Jackson, Mississippi.  Hopefully, Hurricane Ian doesn’t mess with play.  But, I’m not a meteorologist.  It looks like Florida and the states north of that will take the brunt, but we will see. Highlights:  Par 72 @ 7,421 yards; Narrow, tree-lined fairways;  Bermuda […]

NFL Week 3 – The AMBUSH

Welcome to an odd looking week.  There are a bunch of game totals which appear lower than they should be and typically early in the season we have some games that tend to play a little bit over but I am liking defenses this week and as we saw on TNF, a defensive touchdown could […]

CFB DFS Tailgate: Sep 24th

Naturally the best slate of the season this year comes on a day when I am going to be out Golfing in Arizona.  I know, I know, you all feel so badly for me right now. But seriously, what a loaded set of games we have here.  It was very hard to break them down […]

The Dongers Club – Sept 22nd

There are 8 games on the main slates tonight and why are you here reading this?  How much of a MLB degenerate are you my man (or woman) to be playing this in late September with some cold and rainy spots. Actually, there’s quite a bit of drama tonight.  So here’s the run down… Cubs at Pirates Hayden Wesneski vs Mitch Keller.  If that isn’t bringing the fans out to the ballpark on a 60 degree September night with wind blowing out to right and a chance of rain then I don’t know what will my friends. This game is most definitely going to have 23 runs scored in it though and how do you not load up on Esteban Quiroz for 2100 from the Cubs. Blue Jays at Rays Sweet, a game that’s actually entertaining if you can get past the horrible stadium they’ll be in.  Jose Berrios is going to pitch lights out, he is the #1 pitcher on this slate and will get run support from Vlad (x2) and Teoscar. Brewers at Reds Two pitchers with high strikeout upside in a park that is HR friendly with a wind tunnel out to RCF.  Do not use either pitcher as this game does have 4+ HR in it. Astros at Orioles Finally we have Houston in Cam…. Wait, the damn wall.  Son of a … Red Sox at Yankees Hold up, Hold Up….  Judge gets to go for 61 and 62 this weekend at home against … Boston? Braves at Phillies Fried against Suarez.   Hide the worms. Guardians at White Sox Dear Chicago, please report to the tee box, thank you.  Shane Bieber is going to mow them down in a pitchers duel with Johnny Cueto.  Fun times. Diamondbacks at Dodgers I have questions … Is this that 7 game series?  Are they done playing yet? Is Christian Walker going to hit 2 HR? Has Julio Urias murdered more people than Jesse Chavez? Are they related? Do the Diamondbacks have enough dudes with big time suburban white boy lacrosse player names?  Christian, Jordan, Daulton, Carson, Stone, Geraldo…. wait… what [spacer height=”10px”] WEATHER Cold and rainy but I think games will get in, these spots have some showers lingering.  I do not expect any delays or PPD. Cubs/Pirates Astros/Orioles Braves/Phillies [spacer height=”10px”] Jose Berrios – My model has hated him all season long.  All I can assume is that […]
