Ten games today with a couple interesting travel notes. The Dodgers and Mets both had to get on a late flight last night/this morning to go out to the west coast after their Sunday Night game yesterday, which is putting them at getting in very late today and most likely wind up exhausted. Non active Noah Syndergaard was the one who came out publicly bashing MLB for the pivot of that game into prime time and I completely agree with him. Both teams are out west tonight with the Mets at the Giants while the Dodgers are home vs the Pirates.
Games that are going into ideal hitting stadiums
- Cubs at Reds
- Astros at Royals (Kauffman strong in August as usual)
- Padres at Rockies
WEATHER
This could wind up being a very ugly weather week with tropical storm/hurricane type conditions hitting up the east coast so Atlanta, Washington and then the greater north east should have some weather throughout the week that causes PPD risk. Luckily tonight none of that is coming into play.
Of note, it is 90+ degrees in Coors Field today.

GERRIT COLE
Anaheim is back in New York to make up a PPD game from earlier this season before they head over to Toronto for a three game series there. So this is an island game and yes we have Ohtani back in New York where he went off earlier this season but the rest of the Angels lineup is hot garbage, we’ll pay for chalky Cole.
TOUKI TOUSSAINT
Very favorable match-up for Touki, who is throwing his splitter with more swinging strikes of late and should get enough out of the Marlins swinging lineup to have a solid game tonight in Miami.
FRANKIE MONTAS
Today’s low owned sleeper with 20+ point upside is Montas against the Chi-Sox. His down in the zone action should do well against Anderson, Abreu, Vaughn and he isn’t someone who has to get a ton of strikeouts to produce. Montas looks very healthy with 3 of his last four being over 100 pitches and a K% > 30% in each of those starts.

ASTROS
Correa, Brantley, Alvarez, Gurriel
Houston is going into warm and muggy Kauffman stadium in August, a spot where they should leave with 2+ home runs and they remain very affordable on all sites. Look for Carlos Hernandez to start to show some challenges after he has been a huge bright spot for the Royals pitching staff in the second half.
PADRES
Frazier, Cronenworth, Tatis Jr
Certainly the chalky team tonight in superb hitting conditions against Antonio Senzatella. A game which I see a 12.5 total on and want to immediately bet the over is a no brainer to get 4 players from tonight with the Padres side being the better end for sure. Make your own mark on Tatis vs Correa, but Adam Frazier ($4100) and Jake Cronenworth ($4400) should be penciled into our core build today.
INDIANS
Franmil, J.Ramirez, A.Rosario, Zimmer
Both Ohio teams (Indians/Reds) are on paper in good spots but my edge is on two main hitters in Cleveland’s lineup Ramirez/Franmil Reyes. The Reds are banged up while Cleveland is facing just as bad of a bullpen/pitching staff and could be in line for another high scoring game today. Add in Amed Rosario and Bradley Zimmer and you have a very under the radar stack today.
