This is a day that was made for the Dongers Club Manifesto because tonight we have the following elite level Dongers Club Theories in play
- A SP vs a team he absolutely murders and has major hatred for — a scenario that has resulted in some big 4 figure days for us in the past.
- A good team against a bad pitcher who used to pitch for them.
- A ballpark with a major wind theory which will go unowned tonight.
- A rookie pitcher making his debut gaining ownership.
Let’s go!
WEATHER
5PM UPDATE ON WEATHER — Yankees/Jays game is PPD, so there goes bad chalk. Nationals game is more than clear now that storms are rolling through ahead of the game.
Mets game has good amount of risk, they would likely play a DH tomorrow as the Rockies travel to Pittsburgh on Friday and the Mets are still at home.
Every non dome environment looks good for hitting today and two of the three roof’s that open are almost definitely open tonight. There is a chance of Rain in the Reds/Nationals game but unlikely to cause any issues (he says laughingly knowing the Nationals past history with weather delays and PPD games). Here’s the full weather report.
- Open in Milwaukee
- Open in Arizona
- TBD in Houston
- Hotter than tits on a rhinoceros in Washington DC wtih storms rolling through at some point causing a delay, but if they wait then the first inning might have 50 bombs in it.
Rain coming along in NY for Rockies/Mets, I believe game plays okay.

Tyler Glasnow (DK: $10,500 – FD: $10,700)
High heat! That’s the story with Glasnow and that’s a problem for Whit, Soler and Salvy — three of the main Royals bats to be concerned with normally when you want to attack them. I don’t see a scenario where Glasnow doesn’t finish with eight or more strikeouts tonight.
Trevor Bauer (DK: $10,200 – FD: $11,500)
Bauer fucking hates the Astros organization and he has made it well known his entire career. He threw a ton of pitches last start and Houston doesn’t strike out a ton but neither thing has me completely off Bauer tonight because he always throws a ton of pitches and he always deals against the Astros. The only times he didn’t have high strikeout games were obviously back when we had the Astros stealing pitch signs and I can assure you tonight he’s going to be amped up and on his game to ball out.
German Marquez (DK: $6,700 – FD: $8,800)
Great price on Marquez tonight vs the Mets as he’s a lot like Stroman on the other side in that he’ll get a good amount of ground balls and is facing a relatively weak and bad lineup today. For $6700, take the much cheaper option tonight and his recent form is good enough.
Mike Minor (DK: $8,300 – FD: $7,200)
Lefties against the Rays has been working gloriously but this price is a bit high on Minor tonight for me to have him in the top three. If you’re looking for a pay up scenario on DK as your SP2 with Glasnow or Minor but can’t get both then this is the next best option.
Also like tonight but lack enough upside
Marcus Stroman
Triston McKenzie – Big bump up with Marquez/Stroman being in bad weather situation.

INDIANS
Hernandez, Rosario 1, Rosario 2, Ramirez 1, Ramirez 2

The wind is blowing. The wind is blowing out. Out to left center. Left center it is blowing. These things will not bite you. These things want to score runs. Then, out in Comerica, came Rosario 1 and Rosario 2. Followed by Ramirez 1 and Ramirez 2. The Indians will destroy Jose Urena tonight with 3+ home runs due to the heavy wind theory in Comerica Park.
PADRES
San Diego will draw former Padre and not so good LHP Eric Lauer on the mound tonight opening up for Milwaukee. This is a smack the crap out of him spot and we shouldn’t be afraid to use the LH batters here either because they’ll do fine vs Lauer and obviously get flipped into good spots against some RH bullpen arms more than likely.
RED SOX
Martinez, Bogaerts, Dalbec, Renfroe
Last night’s Braves/Red Sox game went under as we suspected but boy was it a sweat. They had runners on base all game long on both sides and the chances of having the clutch hitting fail again tonight is extremely low. Good weather tonight in Boston and Drew Smyly on the mound for Atlanta, which means we’ve got JD Martinez, Xander Bogaerts and all the cheap Red Sox coming into play. Hunter Renfroe makes a sighting tonight.
