The Dongers Club – September 10th

Some content scheduling related notes.  We have two games in the 4pm window tomorrow, four games in the 6pm window and then all but one are after 7:10 pm tomorrow night.  If the sites (and by sites I mean DK clearly) decide to make the 4pm & 6PM slate combined then there will be an early article for tomorrow.  If not then the only article will be for the 7PM main slate.  I will add that I am eagerly awaiting what FanDuel does with this tomorrow.  They can do a 2PM-4PM Very Early Only, 4PM Afternoon, 6PM Early Evening, 7PM Main and then 8pm Turbo and 9PM Late night slate.  All while rolling out a massive all day long college football slate.  Because yes, that is what Fanduel does.

WEATHER

No projected issues tonight with weather.

Robbie Ray

Ray wants the Cy Young award, you can hear it when he talks and you can clearly see it when he is pitching.  The guy is on an absolute roll and going into Baltimore might seem like a risky spot for him in that smaller park but with Ray we can take the 3 walks and 2 HR risk and not worry because he should strikeout a ton of Orioles tonight.

Tyler Mahle

Great park shift for Mahle and good match-up against the Cardinals.  This will be his fourth meeting against the NL Central division opponent and the two in Cincinnati he only lasted 5 innings allowing 2 HR in each but the one in St. Louis (like tonight) he went 7 strong, with 8 strikeouts and 0 HR allowed.  The park shift is real for him.

Ian Anderson

There is a lot of pricing weirdness on tonight’s slate, but the one pitcher who has a major discount that we’re looking at is Ian Anderson.  Yes, a few recent starts were not so good but this will be his third one since coming off the IL and the Marlins lineup he gets tonight is a little different than the one he has seen previously.

Sneaky SP

Matthew Boyd

Boyd has had a lost season because of injury but when he is at home against a team’s weaker side he tends to have his shine games.  The Rays have been on fire all second half and should be a popular play tonight, but I like Boyd’s matchup vs them as a dart and honestly he isnt pitching worse than Ian Anderson of late.

Milwaukee Brewers – Narvaez, Yelich, Wong

They are the number one team for me tonight and their price justifies it being an easy lineup to full stack.  The Lefties in Cleveland all have a favorable matchup against Eli Morgan and are all cheap.

Colorado (Blackmon, Story, Cron, McMahon) vs Philadelphia (Harper)

The Phillies are the best sleeper team on the board tonight in my mind.  They have hit ground ball pitchers very well and I would be willing to take this game on the over along with doing a DFS game stack.  But Colorado gets a mix of bad options from the Phillies today and should have another strong game tonight after a late surge on Thursday.

Toronto Blue Jays – Vlad, Semien, Bichette, Grichuk

A white hot Jays team gets to travel to Camden Yards.  What else is there to love about this scenario?  Randal Grichuk the Oriole killer is OUT but there are still plenty of depth options here to love.  It’s time for Corey Dickerson to awaken and make his Blue Jays moment happen this weekend.
