One last MLB DFS Sunday for the 2023 season and the good people @ FanDuel included Chase Anderson in Coors against the Blue Jays, what a fun adventure that will be. This is a very light main slate as there are a good number of west coast games which means there is a nice tilt afternoon slate today to finish off the Sunday MLB season.   WEATHER All clear   With just 7 games on DraftKings and the 8th on FanDuel in Coors you can imagine the pickings feel a little slim today.  On FanDuel I would definitely trust Kevin Gausman who is a slight discount there and should do just fine, even in the elements. Tarik Skubal (DK: $8400, FD: $9100) … This will likely be a popular pick against the lowly White Sox.  Skubal has ramped up near 100 pitches finally and shouldn’t be that limited.  He’s been pitching very well and all signs point to a high strikeout game today. Jon Gray (DK: $8100, FD: $9400) … The most reliable of the other choices. Value Arms: Zach Thompson (STL)   MARINERS (Hernandez, Suarez) vs METS (Vogelbach, Lindor, McNeil) No chance I end the MLB Sunday season without hitting another Citi Field Sunday over.  Seattle will hit Megill, he hasn’t been great vs RHH and Teoscar Hernandez should capitalize on that today.  It’s the Mets side which I think we need to really look long and hard at though.  Everyone here is below 5k, Kirby is going to get impatient with the Mets patience and make some mistakes. MARLINS (Jazz, Bell, Burger) A heavy wave of heat is rolling into the DC area today and while Josiah Gray has been better at limiting HR this season he still can serve up a few every once and a while.  Burger is on fire and Jazz should hit one out today. WEATHER All clear   Max Fried (DK: $9000, FD: $9000) Tons of homers last night and offense in this big series, but now we get two lefties that are going to try and out pitch each other.  I love the form that Fried comes in with a good start in San Francisco earlier on this road trip and the Santa Monica native has always liked pitching in Dodger Stadium too.  Load up on Fried tonight, he’s pitching a gem kids. Patrick Sandoval (DK: $7200, FD: $9200) Another lefty out in California, the game nobody really wants to even acknowledge is going to play between Anaheim and Oakland.  If Sandoval doesn’t come out and get lots of soft contact tonight then just shoot him down for the rest of the season and let him go play golf or something. James Paxton (DK: $7500, FD: $8800) Royals are hitting LHP well, but the price here and their likely boost in strikeouts is worth taking a shot   Notes on other pitching options Eury Perez – Marlins are likely going to keep limiting him.  Given the Nationals low K% and his high price/low pitch count I don’t see him paying off today. Kodai Senga is someone I trust more than Scherzer vs the Twins and Wheeler in Milwaukee today.  Seattle should struggle with his ghost pitch. MAIN SLATE tonight.   WEATHER All clear   The path to fading Coors Field tonight has nothing to do with leverage or any other bullshit.  It’s simply paying up for your pitching which folks in Coors should not be able to do. Gerrit Cole (DK: $11,500, FD: $11,100) Yeah, so Cole got lit up last year in Detroit.  Don’t give a shit, that’s not something that will translate over here. Jesus Luzardo (DK: $9,200, FD: $9,600) Obviously a combination of Cole and Jesus is an immediate fade of Atlanta against Kyle Freeland in Coors Field.  A lot of this for me is weighted by the fact that the cheap pitching tonight is not what it has been the last two nights. 13 Main slate games tonight for this big Tuesday slate.   WEATHER All games will play   As much as DraftKings pricing algorithm loves to jack up hitters this time of year, it certainly has a blind spot on right now to the pitching performance from young hard throwing lefty Cole Ragans.  Throw on top that we have another Braves in Coors night and the Pirates hitting .196 vs LHP over the last week and you could see the highest owned Royals pitcher ever. Cole Ragans (DK: $6000, FD: $6600) … Drean Kremer (DK: $7700, FD: $8800) … Picking on the White Sox, not as dominant as GrayRod but a good mid range option. Pablo Lopez (DK: $10,800, FD: $11,300) … After 16 runs last night, I would lean towards both these pitchers doing well tonight.  Lopez needs a shutdown game here for himself and the Twins.
