The Marlins and Rockies are playing a double-header today with the make-up game from yesterday playing immediately after their first game today.  We anticipate that today’s original scheduled starting match-up between Trevor Rodgers and Antonio Senzatela will be the SP on that game.

Light rain between the Royals and Guardians but ole mother nature wouldn’t dare rain out our YouTube over of the day would she?  Nah, it plays.

JUSTIN VERLANDER

My first glance look at the games themselves today gave me an instinctual feeling that Verlander would rebound with a dominant performance.  But it is warm here in Oakland and the stadium does play up for day games, but if you cannot hit the ball then you cannot score and so we’re banking on them not hitting the ball off JV who is unlikely to have two rough starts in a row.

YU DARVISH

The Cardinals offense has the white hot Paul Goldschmidt who has a 40% career whiff rate in 30 PA against Darvish.  Yu is gonna be happy with the results from Darvish today.

DAKOTA HUDSON

The Padres offense isn’t explosive right now and with the possibility of Manny Machado sitting out we have to look at the often frustrating Dakota Hudson in a game that I think will be quiet offensively on both sides.  I would prefer him over Trevor Rodgers for a cheap SP2 in chilly Coors because of Rodgers struggles vs RHB this season.

We have a trend from last season and into this season where the mid week afternoon game they throw onto YouTube for free winds up being a game which goes over.

Trends aside, we also have Brad Keller who is starting to struggle finally this year and a lineup that should smack him a round a good bit.  I like both sides as Konnor Pilkington aint very solid either and so we have ourselves the primary hitting spot today.
