NFL DFS: MNF Showdown – Week 6

Game Information

Buffalo is coming in looking like the best team in the AFC right now because they are just obliterating their opponents.  I still do not believe that this team long term is going to win the Championship but you cannot argue with how dominant they look on both sides of the ball and if the running game can be trusted more and more then it will be hard to not back Buffalo long term.  Buffalo’s last game was the SNF beat down of Kansas City and they came into tonights game relatively healthy which is another positive thing they have going for them right now because in the NFL it’s all about when you play teams and who is healthy at the right time.  They’re looking solid right now.

The Titans on the other hand are trying to get some key parts back and in the fantasy world A.J. Brown and Julio Jones are the ones that everyone has their eyes on.  Brown returned a week ago from a hamstring injury and is now battling an illness — but is expected to play.  Julio will return tonight and comes in without an injury designation.  The Titans have the luck of being in the worst division in football and thus they find themselves in first place at 3-2 tonight with a comfortable lead on the Colts … for now!

Most Popular Players

Josh Allen, Derrick Henry, Stefon Diggs

These three stand out as the most likely to go over 20 fantasy points tonight.  In the case of Henry he is actually the one that I feel everyone will logically shy away from using in the Captain spot because of a perceived tough match-up, but what many will not have the guts to say is fade Henry 100%!  Honestly, this game has a lot of offensive fantasy goodness in it from my perspective and with that comes a strong path where Henry is not necessarily needed as the King of the Showdown slate tonight.  I will be making a stand and fading him.

Captain Plays

Josh Allen

The league MVP right now should be Josh Allen over Kyler Murray in my mind, but that’s a debate for another day.  The Titans secondary is atrocious and also should be too slow to close down the gaps if and when Allen uses his legs to get out and pick up extra yards on the ground.

Julio Jones

If Brown for some reason were to miss tonight then Julio is almost a lock button captain for me.  Julio has faced this type of defensive scheme from his NFC South days when Bills HC Sean McDermott was DC for the Carolina Panthers and he always did extremely well against it.  Tonight should be a high volume game for Julio Jones assuming he can just stay healthy and if you are fading Henry like I am then you’ll be insane to not have Jones and or Brown.

Top Flex Plays

Stefon Diggs

AJ Brown

Ryan Tannehill

VALUE Plays

Cole Beasley

Devin Singletary … Moss has taken over here but Singletary for 4600 just seems to fit right into many lineups as a last piece.

Dawson Knox … Price is higher than I would normally like for Knox, even though he is having a dominant TD season so far.

Jeremy McNichols
